Friendly Staff, great location, strong Wi-Fi signal, free breakfast and fresh Costa Rican coffee served all morning and afternoon long. My husband and I stayed in a private bedroom with bathroom for 3 nights. The bed was comfy and the shower was warm with great...More
We found this hostel after the Cabinas del Pueblo did not honor our booking. The bed was the most comfortable we have slept in in 3 months of traveling. The staff were exceptionally helpful. We were even taken to see a local sloth baby after...More

I would like to know what is included in the free breakfast. Also, is the shuttle service free? Does the shuttle transport guests to tours?

As the other respondent said, the shuttle is not free, but I can't really imagine it would be as Santa Elena is way up in the mountains. A resort close to the airport could have a free shuttle theoretically, but I never saw any free shuttles really. There are plenty of transportation options for tours and activities. Sometimes the place that you get the tour will send transport or the kind folks at the pension can help arrange things for you.
