We changed from another place in Santa Elena after one night there and rocked up at Cabinas Eddy. I thought it was a really nice place for the price with a hammock and chairs out front and pretty quiet from the wind if you take a room in the back. The shower head that heats the water is an odd contraption but still works. The Tico owners are very friendly and helpful, and we thought this was one of the top places while we're in Costa Rica and Panama. Definitely recommended for the budget traveller!

We stayed at Eddys Cabinas for two Nights in two different Rooms. Both rooms had a Terrasse with View over The valley (in nice weather at least). The Roms wäre very clean, One of them had a Electric shower, where The Water is heated directly in The shower head. Looked a Bit unusual but worked well. The only thing that bothered the nice stay a bit was the quite noisy street in front of the hotel. We would always recommend Eddy and Gould stay there whenever we come back to St. Elena.

When we arrived in Santa Elena, it was cold, rainy an blowing REALLY hard! All we wanted was a hot shower and a warm bed... The owner, Freddy, is a super GUY! Okay, his English isn't all that, but hey, you're in a Spanish speaking country, but he's sweet! And he's there for you, and gives you al little extra with his warm face. He's got great info & prices on excursions. The rooms are basic but neat and a soft bed. The bathrooms are fine, no luxury as in the rest of the hotel. Breakfast is served in the little restaurant his wife runs and the place is stuffed with Tico's: we liked it. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't all that, actually there was a storm and as it was our holiday we didn't want to stay there any longer, we needed sun. The already booked and paid for
