Do not recall but I believe access to lounge are on beach have something other than sand on the walkways, As suggested, check with the hotel directly for exact answers to your relevant questions. If you go, do enjoy.

Tuktuks are the easiest way to get about. 5 mins to Unawatuna and 10 mins to Galle. You could walk but the roads are not that well lit everywhere and the tuktuks cost about 1 to 2 pounds. Both have plenty of restaurants although Galle is more expensive but not prohibitive and fairly varied. The hotel dining is really good with lots of lovely fresh seafood and good western food if that is your thing. It is obviously more expensive than some local restaurants but 10 pounds would buy you some great seafood. The John Dory in banana leaf was one of the best things we ate and it was about 5 pounds. Hope that helps, it is a lovely hotel in a great country. Have a great time.
