We (7 girls in their 20s from the UK) stayed at Sea Breeze for 2 weeks in May 2015. It is a nice traditional Sri Lankan guesthouse with good air conditioning and warm showers. The breakfast is great - fresh fruit and toast and eggs plus tea or coffee. A Sri Lankan breakfast can also be provided on request. The... More

Was recommended to us by other girls who were also travelling Sri Lanka and it was great. Turned up without booking and a room was ready immediately and was an incredible price! Rooms were clean and a good size. Bed was comfortable enough and the pillows were incredible!! A mosquito net, towels, wifi and even hot water (!!!) was a... More

I discovered Sea Breeze through a tuk tuk driver and was pleasantly surprised. The price was reasonable at 3000 rupees for a large, clean room with en suite, air conditioning and free wifi. It is just a short walk to the beach in a very quiet location. The beach is fabulous with many beachfront restaurants offering free sun lounges for... More

We booked 3 double rooms. One room was so-so, but without a moskito net, so 2 people were biten by moskitos, plus aircon did not work. One room was awfully stinky, nobody wanted to stay in it, so one couple went to another hotel immediately. The 3rd room was old, small and dirty, we have killed a big cockroach there,... More

Not really knowing what the rates in Unawatuna are, we agreed to stay here for 3000 rupees a night without breakfast or AC included. What a rip off! Grumpy owner. No mozzie nets on the windows, only a net above the bed which had a million holes so was pretty pointless. The curtains in the rooms are disgustingly dirty. We... More

We booked Sea Breeze for our last stop in Sri Lanka. We have read a few reviews online and it seemed like a nice and quite place at the beach where we could relax. It took our driver about 10 minutes to figure out where it was. We went up an alley until the end and ended up in front... More

I stayed 7 days at Sea Breeze Hotel. I did not intend to stay so long, but the room, the beach, the hospitality was really exceptional. I was really sad to leave. I stayed till the last moment and then half a day to Negombo for my next day flight. Thanks SEA BREEZE. I definitely will come back.

I stayed here in Jan/Feb 2013 for 7 nights. Perfect for what i needed - close to the beach, 2 mins max, near to the Unawatuna Beach Resort (UBR), so somewhere to watch the footie or cricket! Very well priced (approx 2500 per night). My room - Shiva, also had hot water which was a bonus. Nice breakfast if you... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was perfect for our stay. The location is great - 2min to the beach, 2min to the main road for the bus to Galle and 2min to the main shopping/restaurant road. The room was large and clean and the location means that it's very quiet at night. It's great value for money... More
