Happy to stayed in this magical place! I booked for two nights but stayed four nights because I didn’t want to leave! Perfect location for your getaway in the middle of the jungle! Really relaxing with a beautiful interior design of the bungalows! The staff was really friendly and I was feeling welcome from the first minute! The manager was really helpful and was giving a lot of advices to have great time in Sri Lanka! I got a free tuck tuck ride to the closest beach! The food was perfect for me even if I’m not vegan! So I will definitely come again ❤️

My husband and I had the most incredible 5 days at Kaju Green on our honeymoon. Everything was perfect, from the kindness of the staff to the food to waking up each morning in a jungle paradise. We really loved all of the meals, the fresh coconuts and the design of the place. I can't recommend this place enough. It's paradise! We can't wait to visit again soon 🥰

A friend recommended me Kaju Green and I couldn’t have been happier. It’s so calm here - the rooms are in a beautiful garden with birds, squirrels, the odd monkey and (of course) jungle insects. It is immaculately kept by the lovely staff, who are seemingly on hand all day to tidy, cook food and help guests. The pool is great. The surrounding lake is great fun to kayak on. I went for a 3 hour bike ride along nearby paddy fields too which I loved. The road to Kaju Green is pretty rural - you wouldn’t be advised to walk it as it’s probably a mile to the nearest road, but I cycled it in the day and it was fine. Tuktuk’s are easy to get to and from the property - I came back at midnight one night and had no issues. Loved my stay here and would definitely recommend if you’re after a bit of calm away from the bustle of the main towns nearby.

Kaju Green is a hidden gem in the jungle: classy but unpretentious. Its authenticity, charm and refine design make the space a haven. Peaceful and inspiring I could not recommend this place enough. Service is attentive, efficient and kind. The experience of yoga on the rooftop surrounded by luxurious nature was one of the highlights. Rejuvenating and fulfilling, my experience at Kaju Green was unforgettable.

I loved the indoor-outdoor living concept of the hotel, the architecture is beautiful, the food is really good and the overall atmosphere is calming. I loved waking up to the sounds of the birds around me. The highlight for me was the polite staff on the premises who do everything to make your stay hassle free. The WiFi isn’t good so if you’re working on vacation, carry a WiFi hotspot.

We were a group of four Indian travellers on a vacation to Sri Lanka. We decided to spend two nights in KAJU Green Eco Lodges in Galle to experience a different side of Sri Lanka. And with what started off as an exciting adventure quickly turned into a nightmare! The narrative took a turn for the worst the moment we checked in: When it came to international tourists, the management never asked for our passports upon check-in, which is standard procedure in any hotel/resort, big or small, in any country. One of the first questions the manager asked was how we wanted to pay. And it wasn't until reached the resort that we learned of their stringent policy of only accepting US Dollars, which is strange and cumbersome for international tourists visiting Sri Lanka. Also, if visitors want to pay with a credit card. They tack on an extra 18% surcharge. This was especially strange to us since we had never seen such an odd regulation in all of Sri Lanka. I mean, is this pro-cash strategy being implemented to evade taxes in Sri Lanka? So, in accordance with their "policy," we notified the manager that we would be paying the whole sum in USD. TAKE NOTE OF THIS: up to this time, only the management i.e the manager, is aware that we would be carrying cash. And, he never once asked us to settle the money we owe them upon check-in. After settling in, we went out to withdraw x amount of USD on our way back in order to pay for our two-night stay since we had only used our cards up to this point in Sri Lanka. When we returned to the hotel around 7pm, we left our wallets in the safe before going for a swim and dinner. Kindly note that the rooms does not have an electronic safe. To safeguard your belongings, there is just a basic key-operated drawer, which is touted as "FULLY-SAFE" by the management. While having dinner someplace else on the property grounds, we had our money stolen from the same safe. When you're not around, anyone with criminal intentions may use a duplicate key to get access to the safe in your room. When we returned to our room after dinner and checked our wallets, we discovered we were missing half our USD (exactly one night's tariff) plus a certain number of Indian and Sri Lankan rupees. Now what makes it even more shady and criminal is the fact that the person who did it knew very well that if they had stolen everything we had with us, we would have found out much sooner and figured for sure that it occurred at this property. Yes, our first thought may have been to assume that we lost the cash someplace by accident or that we hadn't properly accounted for the money we had, but since we specifically withdrew the cash to pay for our stay here, we're certain that it was done by someone affiliated to KAJU Green and informed of everything. Here are the biggest red flags we observed afterwards as we tried to figure out what and how all this had transpired: 1) There are no door locks, thus anybody may enter your rooms. 2) There is no CCTV anywhere on the whole property, thus there is no evidence! Why can't there be CCTV cameras, a piece of technology that only makes the location safer, if there can be lamps, large light fixtures, power outlets, wifi, fans, and everything else that runs on electricity? What a shame to the phrase "ECO Lodge" as well the safety of its guests. We decided to check out the next morning as soon as possible, settling our debts for the one-night stay and informing the property owners of the occurrence. We couldn't continue because we didn't feel secure any more. Given that the property is entirely off-grid and in the middle of a forest, with no CCTV or enough people nearby to follow events back, we consider ourselves lucky that just our money was stolen and not anything more disastrous, which could have happened on a bad day. If you do decide to stay at KAJU Green, I strongly encourage you to exercise extreme care and take all necessary precautions, as what may seem to be an exotic escape might turn tragic.

Quite the instagram dream shoot location - the simple design is impressive and the lodge's bathrooms are a delight HOWEVER there is nothing of comfort to relax and chill on. The sun loungers only have a couple of tilt settings and not one to sit up and read whilst enjoying the sunshine, the communal seating area is sparse with floor level seating that have no back support and the lodges don't have any armchairs only the bed. The staff are all helpful and very accommodating. The food is wonderful but extremely repetitive if staying longer than 2 days. Eating outside watching the wildlife; monkeys, birds, squirrels, geckos and monitor lizards is a treat. The local mosque's daily call to prayer at 5am is loud and intrusive and lasts for an hour and a half - they do provide earplugs.... And finally ensure you have quality mosquito repellent as its gorgeously tropical there but this does come with a plethora of biting bugs especially around the pool and the numerous lakes and gullies that surround the place. All of the lodges have electronic repellant devices.

Very beautifully designed hotel, calm vibe, great vegetarian food, and mostly very friendly staff - though some things to look out for. You are sleeping in the middle of a jungle with the bungalows having no real walls, but rather view protection. So expect some nature and noise in your room, but as they have mosquito nets over the bed and provide earplugs, it is manageable. Waking up in the middle of nature is amazing. Food was great, the cook was an angel! But it’s was quite expensive at USD 20 pP for lunch. For our three night stay they ‚offered‘ us to move to another hotel. Though the alternative hotel was nice as well, it left a bit of a negative impression due to the need to move twice and it felt more like they were overbooked rather than them making an actual offer to us. Lastly, Nuwani, the manager felt very patronizing and ‚fake’ (although saying she is trying to do the best for the guest, it felt often like the opposite).

My wife and I stayed for 5 nights and had a wonderful time. My wife is vegetarian so the food options were great, and even I had no issue eating the meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s delicious! The pool area is wonderful to spend your day and the staff are so friendly and cater to all your needs. Highly recommend staying here 😀
