As mentioned in the previous review from Jessica J; the accomodiation is not just 400 mtr from the beach as stated on the Airbnb website. This information is not correct indeed. However, it is not 2 km either. It is exactly 1 km walk from the beach. The location shown here on Tripadvisor is correct. Anyhow; we enjoyed our stay., and didn't mind to walk to the beach. The room and bathroom are both big and very clean. The shower is the best you will have in LK. Breakfast was provided and was good. You can watch the monkeys in the trees from the patio. There are some local restaurants on the main road where you can have a good local meal for a good price, in contrast to the overpriced tourist restaurants on the beach. If you don't mind to walk a few minutes to the beach I can highly recommend this place to stay!

Please do not be fooled by this homestay’s false advertisement on Airbnb. The listing says that the hotel is 400m from the beach however it’s approximately 2 km walk from the beach and across the main thoroughfare. When we booked we were not given the correct address. Instead we were told to go to a particular restaurant on the beach. Then after waiting around for 20 mins a tuk tuk came to pick us up and took us 2km inland. When we arrived we tried to cancel but were told we could not speak with a manager or owner. We had no choice but to walk the 2km with all our luggage to find another place. We later contacted the owner through Airbnb to request a refund and explain that we booked the place based on the proximity to the ocean but he refused to refund our money. Based on our experience, we believe this is a carefully calculated deception to fool tourists into booking despite its terrible location.
