Our nursing group was there in May 2017. We had a fantastic experience with the safari, evening and day. The pool was perfect temperature, the swim up bar was great and the food and service was excellent. The bed and room was comfortable and clean and the shower felt good after safari. The river boat cruise up the Nile was...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Paraa lodge and they did execute all our activities perfectly. We missed the uwa ferry crossing at 12 noon so they promptly sent us a boat for 20 usd. The staff were very helpful and guided us well as we were first time visitors to any game park. The game drive was amazing and...

Our tour company recommended we book Paraa since it would save us from crossing the Nile on the ferry before and after game drives. It did indeed do that, but I'm not sure that the time savings is overall worth it. Our room was clean, had a beautiful view of the Nile, and had two fans which were great to...

Fairly ordinary lodging in the optimal location. Most lodges here require passage on the ferry each day to reach the most interesting game drives. Paraa sits on the proper side to avoid that. Food was good and varied, served buffet style. Murcheson Falls were awesome. The park itself was loaded with Uganda Kob, Jacksons Hartebeest and such. Predators made a...

What can I say about this old colonial style hotel? It is clean, has AC in the rooms, has a nice (warmish) swimming pool and bar but is otherwise very dated. It is also close to the ferry port and launch point for the Murchison falls boat trip – if you get car sick there will be less cross park...

The rooms are pretty good although the bathroom is tiny and the shower is awkward. There is no air-conditioning but the ceiling fan helped. Great location near so much wildlife. The food is ok and wine selection better than many of the other places we stayed on the trip. Everything was clean. Staff was somewhat helpful but could have been...

Took a team of 14 for a 3 day break after a 14 day mIssion in Teso. We had a great time, we found the rooms to be very comfortable, and the staff very helpful. The food was very good with a large selection, the pool was most welcome after a long journey from Soroti, The location is stunning, overlooking...

Paraa means Hippo in a Ugandan. It certainly is we named as the river around the lodge teams with Hippo. We stayed at Paraa Safari Lodge for two nights. It was absolutely lovely. The staff were all really good. Very helpful and attentive but not intrusive. Situated on the banks of the Victoria Nile it has a lovely view over...
