We came here for a weekend and had a lovely time! Our room (twin beach hut) was clean, comfortable and more spacious than we were expecting. Showers and toilets nearby in blocks, fairly clean but mosquitos! We enjoyed relaxing on the deserted beach and swimming in the warm sea. All meals were reasonable price (lunch $6) and good quality. Special...

This place is not 4-star luxury, but it doesn't bill itself out that way. So I don't understand a lot of the complaints about substandard accommodation. What I found were safe, clean, comfortable (if dated) beach bungalows. There's also a restaurant with good food where young travelers and those on a budget could enjoy several days of maxing and relaxing....

We camped at Beach Crab in our own tent and gear. We have been camping a lot in East Africa, but it was the first time camping right at the beach. The camping experience as such isn't much to say about. We enjoy it. And having less than 15 meters from tent to beach is wonderful. The campsite offers good...

They are not bad, the place is kinda clean, 7,50$ for camping is average in the touristic area of Tanzania, breafast is ok, but lunch and supper are a total rip off. Last night dinner was 4 small pieces of potatos with very little vegetables and some salsa for 9$, if you ask for more food they tell you the...

I´m not really sure how I should rate this resort really. I´ve travelled a lot, not especially picky when it comes to hotels and places to stay at, but this place, I´m not really sure if I liked it. Pro´s: Right next to beach Nice restaurant to have drinks Very relaxing Bungalow was OK (but pricey!!!) Cons: Food is NOT...

We only spent a night at the Beach Crab, but I wish we had more time. The place is really cool, we were very few people on the beach, there were some nice couches at the bar overlooking the sea and the entire camping area and huts are between the palm trees & you simply hear the waves before falling...

Fantastic staff, facilities and location with great value. We stayed here to unwind after a busy schedule. Perfect relaxed atmosphere for this. Dinners were delicious, varied and very good value. Friendly staff organised beautiful snorkelling trip to sandbar island. Overall, it's charm lies in its rustic, comfortable demeanour. Coconut family bungalow a good size for for 4, less than a...

I loved my room and how the hotel is set up. Breakfast was the one I was looking forward to every day, had half board and dinner was ok but too much spice resp. salt. There was no power as I arrived as well as for several hours one afternoon/evening and pipe water was salty and smelled, electric plug was...

We stayed here for 1 night camping. To begin with we were charged $7 per person, so 2 people sharing the same small tent was $14. Which is more expensive than most guest houses and hotel we stayed in in Tanzania. The camping spots were literally patches of sand, no covers and no power points/ lights. The shower and tap...

The good news came immediately upon arrival: "Unfortunately, our beach huts were double-booked, so we decided to upgrade you." Rest assured, our time in the beautiful and cosy bungalows was a one of a kind. We saw 99 little turtles hatching on the beach and struggling their way into the water, snorkeled off on Meziwa Island and marveled at the...
