Firstly, what a fabulous find! Having finished our cmd arete and Ben nevis walk a little later than planned, we contacted the owners to make them aware of our late arrival. John couldn't have been more friendly on the phone and even advised on somewhere to get a meal on route. The house itself is set just off the A9...

Jacandsteve, not forgetting Anna - the ice paw!! Irene and I are grateful that you've been kind enough to post your review after your stay with us last weekend. Thank you. We're delighted, too, that we were able to help, in our won small ways, when Ben Nevis didn't quite go according to plan. Doing so was a pleasure, I...

I haven't enough space to praise John & Irene for what they've done for us. Great hospitality, I can't remember whether I had this before. Very helpful while preparing our trip to Scotland, a very warm welcome when we arrived, tea in the lounge. Always giving best advice where and what to see, perfect guidance. When we needed medical assistance,...

Andreas, I can't tell you just how much Irene and I enjoyed reading your review. It was right up there with the great time in your company when you were here with us. It was a real pleasure looking after you, especially in Christina's moment of need, which, I am delighted, was duly sorted so that you could get on...

A marvellous place to stay. Although we booked through Laterooms (where contact with proprietors isn't usually made until arrival) John emailed to thank us for booking, immediately making us feel welcome. Irene met us at the door when we arrived and showed us round the lovely house. Set in stunning scenery it is an ideal place for exploring the Monadhliath...

K & R, Irene and I are thrilled that you've decided to take the time to pen your thoughtful words about your stay with us last weekend. We were equally touched that you chose to spend your anniversary break with us here at Crubenbeg House, thank you. It was an absolute pleasure looking after you both, I have to say,...

Hello there and thanks very much for your lovely review. We thought it a real shame that you could only stay with us for the one night but are delighted that you enjoyed your time here with us as much as we enjoyed looking after both of you. Fingers crossed that the rest of your Anniversary trip goes well and...

On our way from Isle of Skye to Perth, we realized that we had left a computer bag four hours' drive away at our B&B in Skye. In desperation, and with our cell phone in said computer bag, we pulled off the road and followed the signs to Crubenbeg House. Irene greeted us and made phone calls for us to...

I was the victim of a dicky tummy for the three hour drive to this B and B ( as the Killiekrankie Hotel staff can testify as I sprinted past them in search for a loo...sorry) and I arrived here feeling a bit like Hannibal on his last Alp. I was greeted by a smile of genuine welcome, a spotless...

Dhielus, it was a real pleasure welcoming you, your dicky tum and, of course, the mighty Micra here to Crubenbeg House and we are, of course, delighted that your R&R here did the trick and you set on your way the next morning well rested, refreshed and in better health. I quickly formed the opinion, as we chatted, that both...

We stayed in Irene's & John's Crubenbeg House last september with another couple on our roundtrip through scotland, which we enjoyed very much by the way. After arriving we immediately felt being welcomed and both hosts were happy to see us, even if we did not know before. That feeling accompanied us until we left after a few days. The...

Alex & Paula, thank you very much indeed for kindly writing your review for your stay with us last year. We are delighted, of course, that you enjoyed your brief time here at Crubenbeg and look forward, very much, to your return when next you are in Scotland. All the very best & thanks again, John & Irene.

Returning home again to Crubenbeg House, is truly like coming home. Charles Rennie MacIntosh came alive! Hospitality like none other, breakfast at just the right time, the newspaper, a book to read on the flight home, a lift to the train, and that lovely Sea Kelp! Gosh, you spoiled me! Just a couple of nights for relaxing during a quick...

We had an all too short, one night stay with John and Irene and it's one of the best B&B's we've stayed at. We were, immediately, made to feel relaxed and comfortable and welcomed into the house. Our dogs were also truly welcome, which straight away put us at ease. The room (Osprey) was large and very comfortable with a...

You know. I have never written a note to a witch before. I guess there's a first time for everything. I have recently returned from my latest trip in search of fresh air and peace and quiet, away from hustle and bustle of city life.
