we arrived on foot from Margate railway station which was a lovely hour and a half easy stroll along the Viking Trail-a warm friendly welcome awaited us-and amazing smells from the hotel restaurant. The Botany Bay Hotel apparently opened in 2014 after a huge refurbishment and it looks great- we were in room 505 which is a corner room with...

Room was nice and spacious. Hotel staff were friendly. The only thing is in a very secluded location and there are no shops and restaurants near by. Great if you are after peace and quiet. Clean rooms which are bright and spacious.

Stopped to this restaurant yesterday with by boyfriend while cycling along the Viking trail. They serve incredibly fresh crab (we had it in sandwiches) that really tastes delicious. Great choice of ales too. The venue is huge and I recommend to seat outside on a sunny day to best enjoy the view. Prices vary from £6.50 for a starter to...

With friends we had a three course lunch. The menu catered for everyone. Three of our party had the daily special, lamb which they enjoyed the other had a dish from the menu. All the food was excellent as was the service provided by smiling staff. In all, despite the place being busy the whole meal only took 90 minutes...

I have to admit it was the amazingly low price I managed to negotiate, which drew me to this hotel, located on an unlikely part of the East coast. Although it was a brief stay, it was clear the brewery owners have thought very carefully about what guests are looking for. Thoughtful, quality details make such a difference, the shower...

We arrived early and the hotel were very happy to accommodate us and as it was my birthday they did offer us an upgraded room. We decided to stick with our booking as wanted a balcony. The decor was very tasteful and everything was spotless. The balcony was a little disappointing as it had a glass conservatory sticking up but...
