A bit tired, a bit scruffy but has all you need. The room was large and clean but very worn and dated, fantastic views and a nice sized pair of beds. In all you get what you pay for and this is great value for money. I would return if it was a little closer to ‘the action’.
The weather really wasn't ideal when we stayed here - windy and heavy rain. We were on the 8th floor so it was noisy from the wind but the apartment was spacious, well equipped and had a small balcony (that we didn't use!). Wifi was decent, staff were helpful and friendly, there was parking at the front of the hotel and breakfast was a bargain option for €5. La Manga wasn't a particularly appealing place but the hotel was decent enough and good value.
Basic apartment, needs good clean and big upgrade, very tired and old fashioned apartment block, the entire area is deserted nothing open when we visited in February, it’s mad busy with locals in summer apparently. It’s on the beach and views from higher floors impressive. The apartment block is surrounded by many other old 70 style tower blocks, was not our taste, stayed only for and overnight and got to better areas and better accommodation.
we chose this place because we wanted a cheap, quiet place for 3 people. we got 2 spacious rooms with old stuff. but we slept very well in the sound of the whoosihing waves. we swam in the sea just outside the hotel perimeter. we have no complaints. it also has parking and mini golf.
Although they accept dogs, you are not allowed on any beach, so you need to walk on normal paths, as you would at home. The apartment I was in was depressing and very old. Nobody came to clean and I had to ask for loo roll. Everything urgently needs updating. It’s worth spending a bit more to find somewhere else you won’t be so disappointed with. Nobody I spoke to in La Manga had a good word to say about it. A great shame as it’s situated in a good location, but the owners need to wake up.
We stayed here for two nights to extend a golf visit with friends to La Manga Club. The hotel is signposted and easy to find but we struggled to find the car park entrance on arrival. It is gated and not obvious. We parked on the road opposite the hotel. Plenty of space in February. The room was large with separate living and sleeping space. Very clean and bathroom spacious with plenty of shelving. Kitchen had lots of equipment but no kettle. We were able to get a drink at the bar in the evening by ringing a bell although it was very dim in the bar with no music and they didn’t seem to encourage it. La Manga Strip is 12 km of ghost town in February. Very little open and there was hardly anyone in hotel either. Spoken English varied amongst staff but we got by with my limited Spanish. Expect it is totally different in season but in hindsight we should have spent the extra days at LMC. …
Basic hotel, don't bother booking meals, the 'restaurant is outside, past the mini golf, past the swimming pool and the food is nothing to talk about. The mini golf will cost you €10 so I suppose the tennis is the same, the pool (no sunbeds) and the children's playground are free! Air conditioning is an extra €6.60 per night. Apart from that it's fine, the staff were helpful and the Mar Menor is across the road and the Med the far side of the 'restaurant'
Room was dated, staff very unhelpful and often rude, surrounding amenities/facilities similar. No sunbeds for pool and closed between 3 and 5. Extra cost for air con and tennis and, despite booking got messed up 3 times and then had the audacity to ask us to pay for the sessions and persisted up to the moment we left the hotel. Don't appear to like English and very disappointing as we've had some lovely holidays in Spain and this is a beautiful area with lovely beaches and a lagoon. Some good restaurants but not closeby (they were much the same as the hotel and very rude) and when were recommended one restaurant by the hotel which was average, charged us a fortune and a very expensive taxi ride by recommended taxi!!! Surrounding restaurants and shops very similar mindset and everything was too much trouble for us. Sad :(…
If you are looking for a nice place to go with your "Best Friend" (Doggy), this is the place to go. Good place to stay, no problem with you "best friend" (no weight restrictions), right on the beach, rooms apartment style (with kitchette, cooler, etc), fully serviced, great beaches (miles long and CLEAN), and good value for money.
I would like to say value for money but sadly not. Overpriced for a basic hotel. Good location with a glorious beach. The room was basic. We booked a family room for 4. 1 bedroom with the kids having to sleep in the lounge wasn't ideal. The railing on the balcony was very low & seemed very dangerous. Being on the 8th floor I didn't allow the kids on the balcony as it scared me to death. Unfortunately the Pool absolutely freezing with no sunbeds or even chairs to sit on. Food was ok with enough to choose from. There are restaurants but about 15 min walk away. Was quite because very early in the season. Not a very touristy area with mainly Spanish. The hotel don't speak much English so Google translate was essential. Was ok but wouldn't come again.
