Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

How on earth did this hotel get 4* this just confirms...It's who you know not what you know in Spain. My husband and I are 30 years old and found the decor of our room lookrd similar to our grandparents house back in the 90s. We had a lovely balcony with a sea of cars in the car park view. The door frames in the rooms have not been fitted correctly with a huge gap so if someone is in the hall way it sounds like they are in your bedroom. We stayed on the 1st floor and there is so much noise because you can hear the 50 people (no exageration as they were from a bicycle tour) waiting at reception for a single staff member to arrive at the desk and at one point i swear children were playing football in our hallway. All staff do not speak any other languages except spanish so sign/hand language is necessary. For breakfast there is egg, ham, cheese and fruit, for lunch there is egg, ham, salad cheese and fruit and you can only guess what there is for dinner... Egg, ham, cheese, salad, CHICKEN and fruit! You can have some cheap wine and water, no juices as they turn the machines off. They have a bar/cantine area seperate but no table and chairs outside, you have to sit on a wall or restle one of those 50 people you saw waiting in reception for a sunbed to sit on. They do have an outdoor swimming pool which looks nice but we went to the indoor one, free entry if you complete the manditory purchase of a shower cap, towel, flip flops or robe to enter. The Spa receptionist was friendly but we found the use of an indoor pool and jacuzzi expensive at 45 euros each, especially when we found out later that the indoor pool is free with the exception of the shower cap etc, so we never used this. All I can say is thank god we only stayed one night! Some other reviews say good value for money but 100 euro a night is expensive for this, there were so many other things wrong with this hotel but my fingers are getting tired of writing!

We're not so sure if a 3 out of 5 is a fair score and to be honest it's probably a very generous one. Other reviewers are very fair in pointing out that the hotel is heavily frequented by older clientele many of whom are suffering disabilities. Nothing wrong with that as we all face these challenges in time but a younger couple or family may feel rather out of place. The interior isn't too bad but the swimming pool & terrace area is awful, its clean but drab and looks like it's going to close down at anytime, no greenery and a very drab 1970's finish, even the indoor hard poolcover has yellowed over the years. The hotel is positioned nicely on the beach and just as well as it closes it's swimming pools between 2pm to 4pm daily. Not much else around on the doorstep though other than a few tacky cafes/restaurants off the main road.

The reception desk was not the most welcoming!.... staff unfriendly, "cold", spanish speaking only, no english, no french, and our request for an all inclusive package having been ignored when we placed the booking, we decided to pas the +€115 supplemental fee; I admit the overal cost was very attractive but we got that feeling from the beginning until departure that we were just numbers!... The food at the restaurant could've been rated EXCELLENT had it been presented hot instead of cold... The room was alright, bathroom clean, the view exceptional from the 6th floor, but it wasn't soundproof and we had apprehension each evening before hitting the sack! Also, the WIFI was very slow and totally turned off at night! And eventhough we are an aged couple, we appreciate the company of younger ones...but in this hotel, it seems like a place for "oldies" only ! We will definitely not return !

They do not want you if you are not Spanish. Staff rude and just shrug shoulders when you complain. Pool closes from 2 to 4 but all notices in Spanish and they told us at check in only indoor pool closed. You have to queue in morning to reserve Sun bed for a Euro. Told us to go at 8.30 to join queue. Went at 8.15 and 5 people in reception. Girl on desk said go after them. Did this then lots of Spanish people came and tried to push us out. Girl on desk then said we had to go behind all the new Spanish people. We were treated like second class citizens. My husband was threatened by a guy in the queue and staff did nothing. We are pensioners just wanting to enjoy the Sun sea and beach. Lucia and Cristina need to learn some customer service skills. They should ask Inma in the restaurant how to treat guests, she is the only pleasant and efficient member of staff in the place. Asked to see Manager this morning before checkout. He doesn't speak English and they don't know when anyone else will be in. 4 star it is nowhere near. The location is great but the rest is shambolic.

We are in 40th, so no young. But we were the youngest couple around there. Was so funny to stay in that enormous cantina with all the old people or watching them playing board games, spa... We saw our future sooner or later. About the hotel the room was big and clean at the 7th floor on the corner with a superb view to both the seas (Mediterranean and Mar Menor). The meals are average. It is very big and a lot of people are there. do if you do not feel intimidated by old people and crowds give a chance I will come back with my parents :) or after pension

Called in for a beer whilst exploring - not residents but no problems. Pool area is lovely (2 pools - 1 out - 1 covered) with a terrace literally on the edge of the promenade looking out to sea. Interior was spacious with lots of seating areas and looked clean and well maintained. Clientele were mostly of the senior age group but early March is out of season. Quiet location - good place to come for a chill out week!

This is a classic hotel to go with the Family for beach holidays. The hotel is in front of the beach with direct access to it. The beach is very good with a hot and clean water. This hotel was recently renewed. The bedrooms have the adequate size, with a balcony and those facing the sea have a very nice view. The hotel is very clean but we do not have towels for free to use in the swimming pool or in the beach. The food is very good (buffet) with a wide choice.

This place was by far the WORSE hotel we stayed at in España! The staff are very unfriendly, and the rooms were terrible! My child asked if he should wear his shoes in the bathtub! The manager was not willing to come out and talk to us, and seeing the cleaning lady using a toilet brush for the bathtub was a huge turn off. Our room was in a very bad shape upon arrival. Please, don’t waste your money here!

Other than the beach location this hotel is the worst I have ever stayed at. The poll has very limited hours for no reason whatsoever. The WIFI is almost non-existent. The rooms are very small and the bed is so small and uncomfortable that you can not get a proper sleep. The buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner food compares to what they serve to the homeless in homeless shelters. If you want a good vacation stay as far away from this hotel as you can.
