Spent 10 days at the Grupotel Santa Eulalia and whilst we liked much about the hotel there were also things that disappointed us. Positives; The staff - they are absolutely excellent. Cannot do enough for you and the girls on reception were only too happy to assist with all the paperwork we needed to return home. Pool area - excellent with no shortage of sunbeds (although hotel had reduced capacity at the time of our stay) and a walk-in pool. Location - a reasonable walk into the town, for us less than 20 minutes and about 6 euro for a taxi. Rooms - good size with a spacious balcony, good sized 4 piece bathroom and really good lighting and shower. Cleanliness - excellent in all areas Negatives; The food! Others have commented how good it is but, sorry, for us it was with a couple of exceptions disappointing but that is a subjective comment of course. It is mass catering but that is no excuse for serving it cold. A fellow guest said I should use the microwave oven that is available to warm up my meal - WHAT? Old food that had been sitting there was simply spooned onto it`s replacement with no temperature check, instead of being removed altogether. The show cooking was of a good variety however with two meat and two fish choices every evening. Entertainment; in our opinion it was poor and there was no atmosphere in the lounge whatsoever - I commented one night that I have seen more life in a Chapel of Rest! Inadequate bar staff numbers; On one occasion I waited for over 10 minutes to pay for drinks so went to dinner and had the same wait again on return. It was a wet night so I presume that more guests had stayed in which meant the three staff were swamped by the numbers but that does not aid the customer experience. To summarise, this hotel has a lot going for it, despite my comments and we had a lovely holiday but there really are issues that need addressing. Will we return - no. Others we talked to would not hear a bad word spoken about the hotel but sorry, it is not for us.

Second stay at this hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed - only suggestion would be tea/coffee making facilities in the room would be very welcome. Secluded and peaceful areas available if so wished. Good selection of food choices for multi nations. Good quality and pretty varied. Good quality snacks available - staff pretty amazing and a credit to the hotel.

Check-in went without problems. Great helpful staff. Nice clean room with a normal sized bathroom and balcony. The morning and evening buffet was great with lots of choice. The food was of good quality. Everyday a different main course. The swimming pool had enough beds and umbrella's. The entertainment was also very good. Walking to the harbour and boulevard takes about 15 minutes. After 23:00 everything is quiet.

Just got back from good week in ibiza. Hotel staff lovely. Place very clean. Pool great. Food great some nights but not always consistent. Reception, bar and dining room very dated need modernising. Lights so bright in these areas you wouldnt sit there - need a little ambience esp as adults only. Dining room very canteen like and sooo bright. Few plants and dimmer switches wouldnt go a miss. The modern rooftop bar was shut so you couldnt use at night as unlit which is a shame as pics of that bar attracted us to the hotel. Even if they put lights on we could have enjoyed a drink and the view. Terrace bar only had a few comfy chairs rest were dining tables so not good for relaxing really. Need more couches full stop. Food ok. Often luke warm esp paella. Pool lovely. Enough sunbeds as hotel half full but may not be so when full. Is a good 25 min trek to the marina and bars if you want to go out and no cafes or anything nearby. Balconies have low walls so if you stand up its only up to your shoulder so not too private and im not tall. All balconies have lights on which you cannot turn off until midnight. I didnt like this as would have liked to watch the sea view but couldnt see due to lights - should be optional (go off at midnight) Most sea view rooms have A LOT of thick trees in front so more a glimpse but not part of hotel so not their fault but still ruin view for me. Ive tried to tell it as we found it but we genuinely had a great stay and if a couple of things got tweaked / updated it would be brilliant. The dj was awesome too. Loved ibiza and cant wait to return. Very covid safe too.
