La Herradura cottage is roomy, tastefully decorated and very private. It has mesmerizing views overlooking the hills and countryside and, in the distance on a clear day, the Rock of Gibralter is visible. The owner, Sally, is most hospitable and informative and the manager, Murphy, arranges for everything to run smoothly. Evenings and mornings in front of the wood-burning fireplace...

We stayed here last year - had such a fantastic memorable stay that we just wanted to come back to make sure it wasn't just a dream. The setting cannot be described other than to use superlatives such as stunning, beautiful and amazing. Check out the views across to Gibraltar and North Africa!! The main house is just fantastic -...

Definitely one of the best nights away and a shame it was only one night. Drove into Gaucin and knew it would be special and then when you arrive at El Nobo you realise quite how special it is. Sally was a wonderful host and made us feel very at home, so many lovely touches all around. Views towards Coast,...

a great surprise in the Andalucian Mountains. Sally is a delightful host absolutely energetic and charming. Unfortunately we only had one night in the 2 bedroom villa. Its position perfect with an awesome setting. A picture perfect pool. Delicious breakfast prepared and served by Carmen. The day/ night to Gaucin was well worth the visit, loved it!!!

What a place! Sally shares her wonderful home and her animals with you and makes you feel so special. It really is a fantastic find in a wonderful village high up in the Andalucian mountains. The rooms and the house are really spacious and well appointed. Views of the mountains are to die for on a clear day with the...

We stayed for 3 nights with Sally and were blown away by her place. The MOST amazing setting with views all the way to Gibraltar, and Africa beyond, from her stunning infinity pool. Our room was comfortable and beautifully decorated. Sally is a great hostess, and we were lucky enough to experience a Paella night - delicious! We can't order...

I stayed with Sally at El Nobo as part of a gallop and gourmet tour operated by www.rideandalucia.com. It is set in a truly beautiful location and the meals are absolute heaven but it's the hospitality of Sally and her entourage that make this so special. I left feeling like a friend not a guest. Many times we say we...

May 2012. Hotel is the not the right word for this place of heaven on earth. Surrounded by mountains, we were honoured to be able to share Sally's home. Gracious and caring, Sally offered us home from home in surroundings that would take some finding anywhere else. With a very small number of guests, (three other couples whilst we were...
