This is a superbly run hotel. It is well designed with rooms on one side and an open corridor with a magnificent outlook on the other. The apartments are spacious and very well equipped. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly. They get to know you so it is not surprising that this hotel Lis loved by so many. It is a safe place to be. The restaurant has just opened under new ownership and promise to be very good. We sampled the tasting menu which was delicious. Nice to have a good bottle of wine and tasty gin and liqueurs especially for the price of 75€ for two. Don’t go for the glitz but enjoy the spacious and relaxed comfort of this hotel.

We love Alvor and the Pestana Alvor Park is a great base to sample the delights of the town, the beach and of course the weather. This was our 4th stay here in 2022. The apartments are clean, comfortable and roomy. All public areas are spotlessly clean, the reception staff are always friendly and helpful, it is one of the few places that we have stayed where every member of staff greets you with enthusiasm. The restaurant and bar are run by brothers Vitor and Pedro assisted by Paula and chef Maria. A great team providing excellent food and service with a personal touch. Many thanks to everyone at Pestana Alvor Park for yet another fantastic stay. See you in April

Returned home yesterday from our first visit to Portugal. We chose Alvor Park and were very happy with our choice. The hotel is approximately 8/10 minutes walk from the beautiful long sandy beach with amazing coves with their incredible rock formations. Also, 8/10 minutes walk into Alvor centre, so the location was perfect for us. The hotel serves breakfast, lunch, and evening meals. We only had breakfast there for 9.50 euro, it was excellent. The hotel and its surroundings are kept clean and tidy, and our room was cleaned every day with used towels changed every day, and the bedding was changed at least 2 or 3 throughout our stay. George and the reception staff were all very helpful and friendly and provided us with information about the area, bus times, and car rental. We stayed in the superior studio, which was on the 4th floor, and had the best views, so it was worth paying the extra cost. There is an outdoor pool if you're brave enough to enter it at this time of year (we did) and a small heated indoor pool with a jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, and a small gym. The area of Alvor was beautiful with plenty of boardwalks where you can watch the wildlife. Going in January had its positives and downsides. The beaches were empty, which is how we like it, but not all restaurants were open, but there were plenty available to eat out and of course you can always eat in the hotel which has fixed menus for the evening meals. We will most definitely be returning to Alvor Park. We had such an enjoyable holiday. Thank you …

I loved the hotel. Very cosy and accommodating and only 10 min walking from to the beach and boardwalk. In the morning when it is quiet you can hear the ocean. The breakfast was good- just enough- English breakfast or continental. The inside pool was big enough for us and another family. The jacuzzi was good. We did not try the stem and sauna as we had to tell the reception 30 min in advance to switch on. The outside pools were working but a bit chilly for my liking in the December but the sun lounges were fab for 23C sunbathing. The apartment was cosy and big enough for the 4 of us with a huge bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. Huge balcony with an ocean view and a splendid sunset and sunrise view. The hotel had a big enough parking. It was a walking distance from the beach and the center of the village. There is a 5 min walk Intermarche shop or 10 min walk to the bigger and cheaper Pingo Dolce. Loved the hotel, the village, the beach, the broad walk and the clear blue sky.…

We have been to Alvor many times but this is our first time staying at this hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful , the staff in the bar and restaruant are too. Rooms are cleaned every day by cleaning ladies who seem really happy and friendly and do a great Job. The breakfast is great , you can basically get almost anything you want. The beds are comfortable with lots of pillows etc , large rooms with kitchenette , dining area , and lovely large balconies with tables and chairs and sunbeds. It feels very safe and the walk to town or the beach is only about 10 or 15 mins. We will definitely be coming back here again.

Extremely nice one bed apartment with a bathroom and separate shower room. Very spacious and kitchen had everything you need. The beds were not the most comfortable but ok for a week. The walk into town takes about 10 minutes and although uphill coming back it’s not too steep. Would stay again if in the area.

A really nice holiday, small apartment with limited cooking facilities, but clean and well maintained, great view, superbly helpful staff, can't fault it. Alvor is a beautiful resort. Will be going back. Weather at end of November was warm, tee shirts everyday.

A great hotel. Very warm and friendly especially reception staff Andre Ribeiro who patiently gave us directions and overall most helpful which made us feel most welcome. Great hospitality indeed. The apartment was spotless and cleaning staff were ever so willing to clean it although there was certainly no need to have it cleaned everyday. We had ours done every 3/4 days in our 16 night stay. Especially polite and friendly was a male cleaner and a rather plumpish woman, huge apologies for not knowing their names. Location was good and easy to walk to Praia Rocha in one direction and the Alvor nature reserve in the other direction. Highly recommended and hope to stay there again,

This was our second visit to Alvor Park which, in itself, is a recommendation. It's obviously not a high-end luxury hotel, but it is a 'homely', friendly place to stay if you want an apartment/studio to be able to self-cater if desired. The hotel is within about a half mile of Alvor town so it's easy to go out for meals and supplies as needed. There's a Pingo Doce supermarket about two miles away in Alvor. and an Intermarche about a mile away too, plus a small Intermarche in Alvor itself. Alvor Park is also about two thirds of a mile from the beach and plenty of good walks along the many boardwalks along the coast and estuary. Downsides.....the pillows are a bit lumpy (foam chunks). The kitchens are decently equipped, if a little basic, but ok for most needs. If you need to do any laundry, I'd recommend using Dona Lava in Alvor, walkable from the apartments and they do a full wash and dry for you. Just leave it and collect later.…
