Excellent accommodation situated just 10 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from the center of town. Very clean with the Covid situation taken very seriously and you cannot fault the management in how they were dealing with the situation. Our large one bed apartment was situated on the upper floor facing south with views of the sea in the distance and a lovely balcony to enjoy them from. We had self-catering facilities which came in very handy and we had a very relaxing 7 nights here before moving on to Carvoeiro. There is a swimming pool and also an onsite bar but unfortunately the latter was not open due to the pandemic. There is a large well stocked supermarket and a taxi rank just down the road and a nice touch is at reception they sell large packs of bottled water which means not having to lug any back with us so very convenient. Alvor is such a lovely resort and we have been here numerous times and if you fancy a change of scenery Lagos is only a short ride away or in the other direction there are some good cliff walks over to Praia Da Rocha. We really enjoyed our stay here we felt very relaxed and we were also allowed a late checkout at no additional cost which was most welcomed. The only negative we can think there was a renovation being done just behind the hotel which was noisy daytimes but this was last September so I guess by now this would be completed. We highly recommend staying here we was highly impressed but when booking take care which room you book as some don’t have sea views and some have balconies low down facing a road.

I’ve stayed at the AlvorMar several times over the past few years, and always had an enjoyable stay. I’ve found the apartments clean, well equipped and maintained. The reception staff have always been polite and helpful. After reading the negative reviews regarding cancellations due to COVID I wanted to share my positive experience. We had originally booked direct with the apartments to stay inJune 2020, due to the travel restrictions AlvorMar agreed that I could change my booking to 2021, there was no amendment fee or additional charge. The new booking was for the 18th June 2021. However, with Portugal being removed from the green list I once again emailed the apartments. I received a prompt response and was able to amend my booking to 2022. I did receive an extra charge but that was due to me adding extra nights. I’m looking forward to returning to the AlvorMar in 2022, and who knows if restrictions are lifted we might be able to return later this year.

This was our 5th time staying at the AlvorMar, we normally travel as a couple but on this occassion our family of 5 travelled. The apartment was a 2 bedroom is was very spacious loads of room, beds where comfy, balcony huge, cooking facilities if required, fresh towels, bedlinen spotless, apartment cleaned every day except Sunday. We have stayed previous in the premium 1 bedroom we are exceptional also. The pool is fantastic with a great pool bar serving food and drink and roof terrace is perfect for great sea views and relaxing. Having travelled to Alvor on many occcasions without doubt the AlvorMar is the best place to stay. It is minutes to the gorgeous beach and seconds to the town. The staff are very friendly and helpful and its just the perfect location. Thank you AlvorMar for another great stay, we will be back in July.

This was our second stay in this excellent accommodation.
The reception area is staffed by highly professional, courteous, helpful and welcoming staff.
There is a small swimming pool, with adjacent sun beds, a lovely snack bar area, a wonderful rooftop sun area with sun beds/table/chairs.
The apartments are of a very high standard. The dining/sofa/kitchenette/TV area had everything needed. Coffee pods were an extra bonus. Decor was bright and modern. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was large with an excellent shower. The balcony was an additional bonus.
The household staff have to be complimented on their high standard of cleanliness, and courtesy. The rooms were spotless. There is a superior standard of cleanliness evident throughout the building.
The apartments are in a prime location, within Alvor, with easy access to the town, harbour and beach.

Just spent a week here and cannot fault it. Excellent location for the centre of Alvor, for bus stop, for taxis, supermarket, beach and harbour. Fabulously clean, room had a side sea view but we were on the third floor and could walk out onto a large balcony with sunbeds, tables and chairs and a great sea view. Downstairs there is a swimming pool and snack bar but we didn't use those. The apartment was well equipped with everything we needed. All the staff were friendly and only too willing to help. We had a fantastic week and will certainly be back for longer stays in the future.

Been to AlvorMar about four times (whenever we go to Alvor, we stay here), this place is spotless, has a fantastic location, and is free of idiots. We always book a ground floor room with garden access, because by booking one of these rooms you have your own patio with two sun loungers, and direct garden access to the pool that usually has lots of vacant loungers and a small cafe. The premises is always nice and quiet of an evening and the reception is manned 24/7.

We really enjoyed in August from the beginning with the good atmosphere and welcome from Tiago. Great location closely to the beach and the village with wide landscape to the beach from the terrace. Peaceful stay where we were relaxing and all amenities in the studio, after a complete remodeling with a beautiful and functional design. It is cool have a swim in the quiet swimming pool where we could relax after returning from the beach. Excellent treatment for all staff, including cleaning service. Modern, spotlessly clean place. Excellent location. Centrally located, but very quiet. We had a one bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor. Every room has private balcony, but walk out on that floor to a huge area with sunbeds with spectacular sea views. The staff couldn't be more helpful and efficient. We ordered transport to and from the Airport through the Hotel. 1st class service. The only issue for some people might be the pool. It's very small. It wasn't for us. Overall a great experience and Alvor is the best of our Algarve holidays over the years.

We stayed here for a week during our 5 week visit to Alvor that started in September, it was fantastic. The apartment was very modern and spotlessly clean, as was the pool/ bar and public areas. Delighted to return to Alvor and stay again at AlvorMar. Love everything about these apartments. The apartments themselves all recently modernised have everything you would want, are spacious, great air conditioning and are kept exceptionally well. The communal areas are the same. All staff we met were friendly and professional. A very relaxing place to stay, no mad rushing nonsense for sun beds by the pool which is lovely. Less than 5 mins walk to a fabulous range of restaurants and shops including supermarket and 10-15 mins to beach. We will definitely be back for a 5th visit.
