Lovely hotel, staff very helpful and hotel kept very clean. Travelling with a wheelchair user, the adaptable room we were given was very good. Bathroom had good facilities. Getting around the hotel was no problem. Good swimming pool and daytime activities. Food was very good. The restaurant is on the floor below and the lifts can be busy at peak times. Overall a very good holiday, we would be happy to stay again.

Nice hotel, location really good 15 minutes walk to Alvor town, our room was really nice and very spacious, the staff at the hotel were very friendly especially at the pool bar, the one thing that let the hotel down badly was the food which was terrible, we spoke to other guests who all thought the same. During our stay there were some children on a school trip and they were very badly behaved causing chaos around the pool and stealing inflatables from families, they were also very very noisy into the early hours and the hotel did nothing about this which wasn't very fair on us and other families looking for a relaxing holiday, I found myself having to speak to them on numerous occasions. Due to the bad food we probably wouldn't return to this hotel which is a shame because it has a lot going for it if they sort the food out.

We have just spent 7 days all inclusive at Alvor Baia. It was an excellent experience. Accommodation was excellent. Entertainment especially the Alvor Baia Entertainment staff were outstanding. I have a 15 year old girl and she made loads of friends through these guys. Food and drink was the best I have had at an all inclusive hotel. But the friendliness and cleanliness were the main areas we loved. Will be back next year.

We visited this hotel in June 2023 with a 2 year old and 3 month baby. Along with another family. First impressions were wow what an incredible huge hotel. Upon entry we were shown to our rooms and given assistance with our luggage. Rooms Pros: Very spacious. Cleaners were very clean. 2x televisions Large shower/bath area. Negatives: there is a little wall which the balcony rails sit on which would be easy enough for a child to climb. Resturants: Never had to wait to be seated, Plenty of choice for children and fussy eaters. The kebabs were incredible and offered every lunch time. Bar & entertainment. The pool side park was always very busy, always had to stand in a queue for about 10 minutes to wait for a drink which isn’t ideal with young children. However the indoor bar on the lower ground was never busy, just a pain you weren’t allowed to take drinks out. Entertainment: I found the evening entertainment to be quite poor, a small mini disco every night for children. But the entertainment after wasn’t worth watching and mostly in their own language (can’t complain I’m visiting a foreign country). There also was no where near enough seats for the size of the hotel. Location: We had a coach transfer which did take around 1.5 hours, the local town was around a 10 minute walk but personally didn’t think the town had a lot going on. Overall, I would return to this hotel if I had it at a good price, however we paid £2500 for 1 week which I personally think there is better hotels for similar money.

Lovely hotel and made our stay very special. The rooms are lovely and very comfortable. The pool is massive and sunbed availability is never an issue. We visited here on our birthday and the lovely staff gave us champagne and cakes. Such a lovely touch. Yes, the food wasn't Michelin Star level, but it's standard all inclusive fare and expected and did the job. Animation staff were amazing, welcoming and friendly and always up for a bit of banter. We'll be coming back here again without a doubt.

Fantastic hotel. Spotless & very efficiently run. Staff very professional & effecient. Rooms very big, beds very comfortable , unusually big balconies. Hygiene standards very high. Brilliant location. My only suggestive comment is the background music played during breakfast times...room is noisy enough no need for it !! Thank you to management & all the staff for great stay

We just returned from a 1 week visit to Alvor. We have stayed in other parts of Portugal in the past such as albufeira in other hotels as self catering and villas but this was our first all inclusive experience in Portugal. The rooms were so spacious, 2 tv’s and a kitchen area to store snacks and drinks. Big bathroom with sufficient space and a large balcony too. We had two rooms as we were a family of 5 and they placed us right next door to each other which was so convenient. We did request this when we booked so it was nice for them to fulfil the request. The food was actually nice for all inclusive and considering the poor reviews I have seen I’m shocked what people actually expect. They had a wide range of food along with a salad bar, desert bar and drinks area. They even had a childrens area with picky bits such as nuggets, pizza, fish fingers etc for younger children and they changed the food choices each night and even had themes such as “tapas night” and even a “bbq night”. I would say the drinks were fairly small, you had to make a few trips during meal times to refill so we sometimes grabbed two drinks to avoid getting up and down. They had a games room which was a little outdated but we loved playing pool together as a family it was a right laugh. They also had a gym and spa, which I did pay a visit to for a massage which was really relaxing and lovely and cheap! The gym is a little small, but there is so much to do at this hotel if your a exercise freak you can play tennis, basketball, football, aqua aerobics, paddle boarding etc so you won’t loose out on being bored. The pool was massive, biggest pool I’ve seen at a hotel, even when lots of people were using the pool it seemed you still had so much space to move it was crazy! Loungers we’re available, I guess because it wasn’t peak season. We had rain on one day but that didn’t ruin everything, they had great day time entertainment such as bingo and quizzes for everyone to get involved in. They even had shows such as magic shows, larger quiz nights with performances and live singers. We brought card games to play so on the quieter days we still had stuff to do. Bus transfer and pick up from the beach for free which was so convenient and the reception staff were so helpful in organising our excursions for us, even helping get us free transfers as we were a family, the ladies stood out on reception, all very welcoming and always came over to say hello. If you don’t fancy an all inclusive drink at the pool bar go and pay Ricardo and Sergio a visit at the caffe bar inside, this bar isn’t free but the service and conversations are worth it. Both bartenders are lovely and engage with you as soon as you sit or stand near the bar, they spark conversation. Overall this is a good hotel, everywhere has flaws, but we all enjoyed ourselves and we’re grateful. I wouldn’t take too much notice towards the bad reviews it seems personal. If your looking for a family friendly hotel, in a perfect location then I suggest booking this!

Firstly the good. The hotel itself is very nice. It is huge with a swimming pool stretching across most of it. The pool wasn’t too cold for the time of year and there is a great kids paddling pool with a slide. The rooms were very spacious and the partition very useful as we could place our 1 year old in the room next to the bedroom. Kitchenette had everything we needed and the room was cleaned daily. If you like drinking beer this hotel may not be for you. We were all inclusive and the beer is served in almost comical sized tiny glasses. The food selection at breakfast and lunch was great although the same most days. Now the bad. We were placed in a room next to the entertainment stage despite clearly staying with a 1 year old. We gave it a chance on our first night however the noise was deafening both on the balcony and in the rooms until 11pm with awful dance music and a kids disco which for some reason started at 9pm. We were left with no option but to request a new room the next day. The hotel kindly obliged and we were moved to a room on the opposite side of the hotel which was a good 6-7 minute walk from the sound stage. This helped with the noise level in the bedroom however it was still noticeably loud on the balcony until 11pm each night. We ended up spending w leach night with our headphones on the balcony just to listen to some good music!. Overall the hotel was fine as was the food and facilities. It was just a shame that the entertainment had to be shared so loudly with every guest whether they wanted to listen to it or not. I will try to upload a video of our first night balcony experience. Judge for yourselves!

Previously stayed here in 2019 and loved it, however it has gone downhill a bit. The entertainment was shocking, speakers blasting kids music loudly then an out of tune singer (the man was particularly shocking, the woman less so). The shop was okay, not too pricey considering it’s location and the women were friendly enough. Staff were generally helpful, the odd grumpy unhelpful one but there’s always a handful in any group I suppose. The food was good, although some days not as good as others. No complaints about drinks other than the size, bigger cups would be nice but I suppose they’re trying to limit the amount people can have at once. Quite noisy hallways at night. Bed comfy, rooms very nice and no complaints about them. 3/5, the entertainment really does let it down. The pool is nice, though I did end up scraping my feet on some loose tiles. Good location for the town. I do feel a bit disappointed considering the entertainment was incredible a couple of years ago, really fun and interactive and now it’s a bit…depressed. End of season so I guess you could take that into account but overall I’m a bit disappointed with my trip and don’t think I’ll be booking again next year.

The hotel is very big the rooms spacious with bedroom sitting area and kitchenette cooker microwave fridge note no kettle bring your own lovely large balcony the pillows are soft and poor and need replaced.the bathroom has bath and shower, overall the rooms are very good and quiet The staff are all very iffecient from reception to bar staff cleaning staff and restaurant staff There is a very large swimming pool which is quite cold depth 1.4 metres manneddailg by a lifeguard note some tiles are missing off pool floor and this could cause cuts etc . There is a nice small kids pool There are loads of sunbeds and always were available any time of the day, there is slso a pleasant walk around the grounds The hotel group puts on daily entertainment day and night the staff have loads of energy but some of the activities are poor and could be improved but this down to the hotel group The evening entertainment is very poor and is repeated weekly if you are there for two weeks you get the same the second week as you had the first, the best entertainment in the evening is for kids ,the sound system probably needs updating The hotel provides daily transport to the beach where 2 loungers and an umbrella will cost you 15euros and the sea was exceptionally cold The all inclusive drinks weren't bad beer was served in 200ml glasses and cocktails made from a machine there were no excessive queuesfor these which might be different in high season The restaurants are very noisy like a school canteen and the food although enable is very repetitive breakfast is provably the best with fried eggs being constantly cooked there is a selection of cheeses bread fruit juice and fresh fruit Lunches and dinners are usually the same nicesoups although vegetable soup was probably served 10 times in two weeks the salads are a good selection but rarely changes meats on offer include thin beef slice freshly fried chicken pork turkey meat balls ,there was a selection of pastas chips potatoes and fish including cod perch hake salmon golden fish sardines and tuna again some being freshly cooked but alot were exceptionally boney the sweets consisted of different coloured mousse and sponge cake water melon this never varied in the fortnight we were there Although plentiful it was very repetive edible but not four star however eating out is expensive so you need to choose what you want
