I believe some of these reviews are very misleading on here. The room was not spotless unlike other reviews and the hotel bar was severely overpriced. The breakfast included was of an average standard and we were very surprised to see there was a Nutella...More

Hi we are a couple in our 50s and we went March/April it was all couples then. When it’s school holidays there is a kids club that opens. Food on offer for sale was a bit sparse and drinks were less than we anticipated, it is a good standard hotel, the breakfasts had everything and were a really good standard, the location is up the hill just on the outskirts of Alvor but there are bars and restaurants you can walk to easily, if you exhaust these the walk into the centre is not far and not expensive for a taxi back, there are plenty of places to eat in the centre. Jet2 sell this hotel and advertise a shuttle bus but when we asked about it were told it wasn’t running, sent jet2 a msg and the rep wanted to argue about it until I showed him online, the hotel management provided us with daily transport into the centre, or anywhere around within reason, sorted!
I would also say that there is a large supermarket in walking distance and the apartments facilities were excellent, dishwasher included in kitchen, so on more than one night we catered for ourselves and enjoyed the company of our friends who were in the next apartment. The evenings are very quiet in the hotel, around the bar included, there was football on but still no one about, we even got told off for chatting (noise) on the first evening which seemed disproportionate, but we really enjoyed the beautiful area, there is lots to see and do along this coast
