What can I say. This place was wonderful! We stayed in the "special suite" which had a sitting room, full bath and large covered balcony on the first floor and the master suite with half bath and balcony on the second floor. Just a fabulus experience. All of the staff from reception, chambermaids, porter, wine bar, restaurant were top notch....

Beautiful and perfect and serene. Superb restaurant. Impeccable surroundings. It's off the beaten path a bit, but so are most of the other places in the Tuscan countryside. I simply cannot imagine a better place to stay in rural Tuscany.

This is a five star hotel masquerading as a four star inn. First, the grounds and rooms are immaculate. The staff is extremely helpful but not forward or obvious. The staff speaks a good level of English. Our room was huge by European standards. The rooms are artfully designed and appointed, from the beamed ceilings to the tumbled marble bath...

We stayed 4 nights at Amorosa and it is a truly amazing and memorable place. The inn is a carefully restored 13th century village set among the vineyards and olive groves in the Tuscany hills. The setting is unbelievably picturesque, and grounds within are beautifully landscaped--a true oasis (with an excellent wine bar) after a full day of sightseeing. We...

I don't really know where to start with Amorosa...From the moment you drive up to it, it is fabulous...the website doesn't even do it justice. The staff at the front desk is very attentive - they helped us map out our plan for the day every morning with great suggestions you won't find (even in the Rick Steves guidebook I...

We stayed at this unique and wonderful hotel during our month long stay in Umbria and Tuscany. We DID NOT have a car but used a driver to take us there after staying in Umbria for five nights and before going on to Florence. It was intended as a respite after two weeks of travel and before going on. We...

We just got back from 8 days in Italy, 1 night at this hotel. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. It was a tiny village that they have creatively turned into a hotel while preserving much of the original buildings. It has a tiny quadrangle in the center anchored by a chapel where we spied a lovely young Italian couple getting...

Hotel room and service wonderful. Food at expensive restaurant outstanding but service in restaurant was horrible. Their seatings are at 8 and 9. There were only 2 servers for the 1st hour. One more server came at 9. Suggest seatings at 8.15, 8.30, 8.45. We were not given a menu for 30 minutes. We asked for a wine list and...

We just returned from celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in Italy. We visited Milan, Florence, Venice, Tuscany and Rome. Without question, the highlight of the trip was our stay at this magical place. I can only mirror much of what has already been written by other reviewers. Outstanding location, rooms, service and if that's not enough, some of the finest...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The location exudes an atmosphere of true serenity and sweetness and anyone exposed to it will be awestruck. Each room has its own character and design. Rustic furniture of peasant origins is mixed with antique furniture, prints and paintings. Some, that open directly to the outdoors give the sense of having a place of one’s own; others have a relaxing view of the typical Sienese countryside; yet others look out onto the complex’s quadrangle and face the lodgings the peasants at one time inhabited. ... more   less
