Best unexpected part of our trip was staying at this lovely hotel and eating in their restaurant. Such an inviting family with warm and gracious hospitality. Food was incredible with lots of locals there as well - always a good sign. Clean and lovely rooms.
We spent 4 night at this Stunning family run hotel. Our stay surpassed all our expectations. Room and bathroom was hugh and spotlessly clean. Towels are bedding were like bra d new. The location and surroundings is breathtaking. The staff go above and beyond to make our stay the best experience ever. Breakfast was plentiful and their home produce are amazing, and they want you to try them all. We had dinner at the restaurant 2 nights and the food and wine was fantastic. Thank you to Raffaele, Nina the owners and also to Gan Luca, Mario, Antonella and all the staff, you are all truly amazing and we look forward to visiting again soon. Thank you
Best Italien Restaurant that I have visited in the world that far. You get great bread with your dish, a good selection of daily specials, pasta and the best pizza in the world. The chef and owner is from Napoli and an excellent cook. The house wine is very good and can be recommended. I'm frequently here for business and can only recommend to stay here and enjoy the Tuscan live. They speak enough English to get along and are all very friendly.
Such a fantastic place. Wonderful family run guest house. Generous and welcoming family. And location was great for trips to surrounding communities - Assisi being a highlight. And the good was easily some of the best from our trip.
We were two couples traveling to tour North Umbria and South and West Toscana. We were looking for a place that could serve as a hub to travel to the sites and come back on a daily basis. The Albergo La Foresteria was just that and much more. On one hand it is located within 3km to all the major roads in the area (A1 Rome-Firenze; the major road to Siena and south Toscana; the major road to North Umbria: Perugia and Assisi and very close to West Toscana: Arezzo and Cortona. On the other hand it is situated in such a place that you feel you are staying deep within the Toscany hills. The place is a mixture of a villa and a hotel. The rooms are simple, clean and comfortable in size (we stayed in the regular double rooms). Breakfast is Italian (bread, pastries, fruit and coffee) but we have asked for additional items and have received them without any additional remarks or cost. Service is very personal and great. And a lot of garden and parking place. One of the issues that need to be considered is the lack of elevator in the main building (3 stories). One of the best things about the place which needs to be mentioned is the great restaurant situated at the first floor. This really served us well since we did not need to go out at night and find a restaurant to have dinner. In the four nights we spent there we planned to eat there only once and ended up eating there every night. Good variety of excellent Italian food. The fact that the restaurant was packed every night means everything about the place. And last but not least - price performance was excellent for both the hotel and the restaurant.…
