I just spent 3 nights at Gasthaus Schneeman. This was my second time there and I hope to be back soon. My friend and I had single rooms that were large with good sized bathrooms. The service and welcome was great and the food and wine was excellent. As one of a group of 17 bikers staying at the hotel they also...

Set back on the vine clad valley side in the village of Valwig just over the river from Cochem. Valwig is a village of a dozen or so small hotels and restaurants. It is quiet, no tourist shops. The hotel is more like a larger bed and breakfast and reception, which you enter through a patio door, looks like it...
