Restaurant: Quite an experience sitting near the fireplace in this former mill and having a nice lunch. The menu is not really exhaustive, which I consider a good sign, but certainly meets all tastes. Same for the drinks. The service is excellent. Must be a good idea to pass there in summer, when the terrace is open and the hiking trails...

I seem to one of few who leave reviews for this Hotel. On my first I stay this trip I was across the road in the old hunting lodge, center building I st floor. Nice room, clean well maintained, and very nice furnishings. Nicely appointed bath. No wifi. The second time I was in the main building. I was overlooking...

We stayed at this hotel while attending the Achema 2015 at the Messe Frankfurt. The most striking characteristic was the friendly and helpful team. Each and every person had a smile and willingness to help. Want some water? Ask a person and he/she goes gets it for you. Want a fried egg with your breakfast? Done. The area is in...

This used to be a wonderful hotel, but I think the family who owned and ran it must have sold it to someone else and moved away. In contrast to my previous stays, last week I found a hotel that was dirty and poorly maintained, with plants dying in the gardens. The hotel is closed (geschlossen) on Mondays, and they...

A Dated review, but my present travels have been in the U.S.. I added some pictures from my Dec. trip and just found I can leave another review for the hotel. The room I stayed in was nice and homey overlooking the closed beer garden. In the summer this might not have been the best room. But it was white...

This beautifully restored hunting castle and hotel is privately owned and managed. One of the owners is always present. The rooms are very comfortable. Breakfast is satisfactory. The afternoon coffees and dinners are rather special and slightly upmarket. If you don't mind a little walk before breakfast, ask for a room across the street. These rooms are a bit larger...

10 minutes from an international airport, you are in a 19th century novel. Of course, you can hear and see the planes overhead but they stop at night anyway and are not really a disturbance. Very nice welcome from the owner/manager (?) who sent us to our suite across the road with his 9 or 10 year old daughter. We...

This was our first night on Holiday Tour so were looking for a comfortable Hotel not far from Airport. This was excellent old style typically German Hotel nearby the forest. The Hotel & other building are part of an 18th Century Hunting Lodge so there is plenty of history to admire. Inside has been modernised a bit to make it...

I stayed here on my own as my last night in Germany before heading out the next morning from Frankfurt airport. What a lovely setting, decent food in the restaurant, cozy room with wooden beams and a spanking new bathroom. Taxi ride to the airport took only 15 minutes, what a lovely last night in Germany!
