If it is a fact that the Hanseatic merchands' communities lived in minimum luxury then a stay at the guesthouse of Goldflair in Korbach will set you up in a Hanseatic environment. The guest house needs renovation in order to make the guest feel at home and pampered. The hotel itself has rooms with different styles (70's, Egyptian style etc)...

Looking for a place to stay? Choose this one! The old hauses have been completely renovated with extrem sense for history, the food and drink is very good, and the best part is the stuff: they really take care, try to find ways to improve your stay - even if it means to shorten their own night!

It's a mixed bag really. They advertise with pictures of their fancily decorated rooms in the Gold look (Think gold mining, Goldfinger, Gold whatever) and I succumbed to booking a more expensive room to not miss this golden opportunity to sleep in Disneyland, but when I got into my room all that really was golden was the Golden Delicious apple...

A most enjoyable stay in a relaxing atmosphere. The people (especially reception) were extremely friendly, polite and had great sense of humour. The hotel was clean and the service was first class. The choice of food was varied and the quality was excellent! Try the Angus steak, you won't find better! The beer was traditional and we were offered a...

Hotel Goldflair is a very welcoming, comfortable and traditional family hotel with some imaginative room themes. We stayed here only one night but found the staff very friendly and the food excellent. Korbach is a picturesque town of half-timbered houses and a fascinating history, with lots to see for all the family in the area around.

Only stayed for a night in this quiet yet very pretty part of town whilst on a visit to watch the ski jumping at nearby Willingen and had a very nice time. We stayed in the apartment rooms at the back which whilst not exactly luxurious were clean and comfortable and had ample parking next to them. Both breakfast and...

I stayed here two nights with my niece and brother in law. The hotel is a traditional German property dating back hundreds of years with a modern extension to the rear of the hotel. Many of the rooms are themed for the region and areas around the world. There are also other rooms available to those looking for more of...

I stayed here at short notice due to a business trip and it was the closest hotel within price range to my meetings. From the outside the hotel is everything you would expect from a provincial German town with all the character of beams and picture windows. The receptionist was very pleasant and could speak very good English against my...
