We were looking forward to our return to the Montpellier area having visited about 10 years ago when our middle daughter was living there as part of her university degree. On arrival, Dominique, the hostess, got us to park at the top gate rather than the bottom gate. Later we realised that coming in at the top gate meant having... More

Castle cottage is an idyllic domain, beautiful gardens, pool, 22 turtles hiding around. The place was developed with a lot of love and care. It is relaxing and beautiful. So why a rating of 3? A chambre d'hote or b&b is not only about having a nice place. The breakfast was poor (cheap). No effort there! (store bought chocolat cake... More

Our friends and us spent a week in the Castle Cottage. The accommodation is very nice even though you cannot expect much space in the ordinary rooms. The studio is big enough for a family with small children. Someone complained about odor in the studio but we didn´t smell it. The landlady is very thoughtful, trying to explain everything in... Great location on the tramline to Montpelier, Domonique is a lovely host, extremely helpful and genuinely proud of her beautiful home, you are of course expected to treat it with the respect it deserves but this is totally reasonable. All Domoniques suggestions of places to visit and eat were excellent and we would have like to get to know her... More

We had an absolute wonderfull time at Dominiques home and with her! And all her lovely pets. The house is lovely and the garden is like the garden of Eden. She is a lovely hostess. We are two happy guests with happy memories!

We stayed in Castle Cottage for the first two nights of a two and a half week stay in France and had a lovely time. This was an ideal place to arrive at. We loved the house (which Dominique, the owner, had built) and the gardens, situated in a quiet area outside the centre of Montpellier. Dominique is a wonderful... More

We returned again to Castle Cottage this year, to find it delightfully unchanged. Dominique, makes you feel at home straight away. The real delight of this bed and breakfast is the wonderful secluded garden, populated by tortoises, with a swimming pool hidden away amonget the trees. The bedrooms are very comfortable and clean. We had a lovely large bathroom with... More

We've just spent a week at Castle Cottage and found it a great place to stay. We were given a warm welcome by Dominique the owner. It's clean and full of character - not in the negative sense. Our bedroom opened on to a terrace over-looking the garden where we were able to have breakfast when the weather was fine.... More

The house is nice. The cleanliness is a serious concerne. Everything is covered with dog fur or the garden is weed around. The owner is a pain in the ... as she is always around. No chance to privacy is zero. The toilet smells. I am sure there are far better value hotels or stays for 100 euro. The breakfast... More
