An Irish Welcome in the heart of France. This is a beautiful place to stay, large comfortable accommodation and a first class breakfast. I can't recommend this place highly enough and will be back!

Our first B&B experience and I think it will be difficult to beat! Upon our arrival around 5 p.m., Anne and Sean greeted us and offered us a drink - very much appreciated after the 4-5 hour drive from Beaune. After we settled our things into the spacious room, we sat outside and enjoyed a glass of wine before we headed off to a restaurant for dinner. Sean recommended a restaurant and Anne called in our reservations. The breakfast Anne and Sean served in the morning was wonderful - pastries, juice, coffee, cheese, etc. It was nice to sit around the dining room table for breakfast with other guests - two families from Germany were staying there at the same time. Thank you Sean and Anne for a wonderful experience.

This was our second stay at La Guillotiere, the first was 2 years ago en route to Southern France. Sean & Ann remembered us & made us very welcome. The location is very convenient for an en route stopover - just a few minutes from the motorway - and for exploring the Loire Valley, being pretty central to the main chateaux. But more than that, it's just a lovely place to stay. The beautifully presented, well equipped and comfortable rooms are called after famous Irishmen (we were in GB Shaw this time). The pool & setting are outstanding. The breakfast is unmissable. And Sean & Ann make us feel so welcome. It has to be our number one place to stay in France, and we'll certainly be back next time we're lucky enough to be that way on.

I was there with my family and we had a beautiful experience. The residence is beautiful and Anne was really very nice. She gave us all the information we needed to travel around as well as very appreciated suggestions on the restaurants nearby. Breakfast was delicious and served in a very nice dining room, it made you feel very relaxed and ready to start the day. We stayed in the suite (two separated rooms, one with full bathroom, the other one with shower and basin)

La Guillotiere is without a doubt the most beautiful B&B I have ever stayed in. The rooms are big, light, airy, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The breakfast is amazing and the location idyllic. Anne and Sean are the perfect hosts, giving selflessly of their time and their extensive knowledge of the area. Thanks for an amazing holiday :)

We had a very enjoyable stay at Sean and Ann's home and it was so good that our intended 5 night stay ended up as 7 nights. The house and our room were lovely and the guest kitchen was an added bonus, very useful to be able to prepare a meal if you didn't wish to go out to dine. Having a meal in the evening while overlooking the pool as the sun went down just added to the pleasure. The breakfasts were very good with as much as you could eat of good quality food which varied each day. It has to the best B&B I have ever stayed at, and I hope to return to again. Mike

We only stayed one night at La Guillotiere, but it was wonderful! Being someone who travels a lot accross Europe and the Middle East on Business trips, I am easily disappointed, but this chambre d'hote ticked all the boxes. We greatly appreciated, the lovely warm welcome, the complementary welcome drink served to us by the pool, the sumptuous feast of a breakfast complete with fresh fruit, pastries, breads, home-made scones & jam (I LOVED Anne's lemon curd), our beautiful room & the gorgous bed linnen, the marvellous views and tranquility of this beautiful residence. A BIG thank you also to Anne for coming to the rescue with Frizz Eaze Dream Curls, when I found out that I left my precious curl cream at home. She even insisted I take the bottle with me. Outstanding kindness and

Highly recommend this chambre d'hotes. We were greeted with a very nice cup of tea. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and of a high standard. There was a guest kitchen available if you didn't feel like going out to dinner. The breakfast was amazing, we just had to take photos. It was very quiet and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lovely old house had a country setting surrounded with large trees and farmland.

My husband and I, along with another couple, spent two nights in May at La Guillotiere. Shawn and Anne could not have been more gracious hosts and the house and grounds are breathtakingly gorgeous! The history of this house alone is enough to keep me captivated for hours. We'd just come from a few nights in Paris, where we found things to be a little stuffy, but the atmosphere at La Guillotiere was anything but. Really, you two, don't change a thing!
