My Girlfreind and I had one of the most special stays of our trip here. in a stunning and remote setting Anne and Sean made us feel so welcome and at home. We were greeted with a drink on arrival of there local aperitif "Epine", that we drank by the pool . Our room was clean , spacious decorated with style. Anne reccomended and reserved a really nice restaurant only five minutes away! In the morning the breakfast blew me away....Sean had prepared beautiful fresh fruit salad, home made scones and jams, five different types of bread (try the local goats cheese bread....amazing!) pastry and cheese! We were so sad to leave but we hope to return very soon!

Family of 4 stayed for 2 nights in August 2013. Ann & Sean promptly answered emails/inquires and were very helpful with booking restaurant reservations upon our arrival. The house is lovely and the rooms are quiet & spacious. The pool and deck area were a nice place to end the day after exploring the region and castles. Have stayed in many B&Bs and this was one of the best experiences!

This really is a fantastic find. Irish hospitality in a French Manor House! Anne and Sean could not have been more welcoming and helpful. It was a perfect location for touring the Loire and a great place to finish our French holiday.Definitely the nicest place we stayed in . We would definitely recommend

This is a truly wonderful place to stay in the Loire. It is ideally situated to explore the region and you will leave feeling part of Ann and Sean's extended family! They are warm and welcoming and are delightful (not to mention entertaining) hosts who will do everything to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The house is lovely, beautifully furnished and with a lounge for the guests to make use of in the evenings. In addition to having a pool there is also a small kitchen where you can store and prepare food should you wish to eat there instead of going to a restaurant. This is ideal when you've had lunch out whilst sight seeing and just want to relax with some bread, cheese and wine in the evening. Breakfast was substantial not to mention delicious and

We stayed in this B&b for two nights. The house is fantastic, cozy and surrounded by greenery with a very cool swimming pool. Our room was clean and comfortable and I can say this place embodies the true spirit of "Bed and Breakfast". The owners, an Irish couple, is really kind and helpful without being intrusive. Breakfast is very very rich and good!

On going through our diary to book a couple of weeks in June/July 2012 we noticed this will be our 16th visit to la Guillotiere. Over the years we have had short as well as long visits. Some times two or even three times in a year. We love it, that about says it all. We dont travel far once we are there, the beauty of the walks you can take, the peace of the terrace and of course the pool is wonderful. The addition of the small kitchen helps with light lunches, but after that delicious breakfast its hardly needed. Anne and Sean are wonderful hosts and to sit with them for a drink in the evening, watching the sun go down, well there is nothing better.

We stayed with Anne and Sean for a week and as a family of 4, could not have been happier with our choice of where to stay in the Loire valley. Our children, aged 4 and 7 really warmed to both of them and the reviews on trip advisor are spot on for this property. The house is set up very well for guests, the nightly bottle of wine in the lounge was a great way to end our day while our children slept just up the stairs. We all slept in one room which worked fine for us. Most of the guests are older couples but families should not be deterred, we all felt very at home and waking up to a wonderful breakfast each morning was a great way to start our day.

I loved this place. Sean and Ann took us in after another nearby inn double booked and we had no place to stay and we couldn't have been happier to land here, with their gracious service and welcome. The gardens are small and beautiful and peaceful; the old tower near the pool is a great photo with the green hills behind it. Our room was nicely decorated and furnished and the bath perfectly clean and bright. The breakfast is in the French style, with croissants, bread, jam, etc. and is wonderfully laid out in the lovely dining room. Great coffee too! The views are very pretty as it sits on a small bluff and you can take walks around the area from the inn. I guess the only small negative was that as a house with wooden floors and doors, the noise factor within the inn was

We can't speak highly enough about La Guillotiere and would concur with all of the positive reviews so far. Sean and Anne are great hosts, the breakfast is delicious, and the house itself and pool area are charming. We stayed for a week in June this year and also had a 1 yr old baby in tow so were looking for somewhere quite relaxed and child friendly. We made good use of the small kitchen and ate some of our evening meals by the pool, which was very enjoyable. We were certainly made to feel very welcome during our entire stay and nothing we asked for was ever too much trouble. If you're looking for top quality guest house, then this certainly ticks all the boxes. We cannot wait to return!

We had a great stay at La Guillotiere. The Estate is located in picturesque, woodsy countryside of Loire Valley in close proximity to Tours, Azay Le Rideau, Villandry, Amboise and Chenonceaux. The Manor gives a sense of settled comfort and the feeling there is both tranquil and welcoming. A big part of that is friendly, relaxed and attentive attitude of the hosts. Our room as well as bathroom were very spacious and charming with warm antique decor. The presentation of a breakfast fare was truly memorable; especially the display of French traditional pastries.
