It was the third time, we stayed at the Hotel Post. A brandnew large indoor-swimmingpool was perfect for the cold winterseason. Very nice staff, it is the well known austrian hospitality at 100 %! One small disadvantage for january: Due to the high Karwendel-mountain the sun disappears around 2 pm. Should i blame the mountain or the sun? For sure...

Food - 3/5: Learn from my mistake - take the half-board option. I decided to go a la carte (since my room booking only included breakfast - I'm sure I could have changed it but decided not to) and chose a traditional dish which sounded ok (although I had to look up spetzle) - veal goulash with spetzle and salad....

The Hotel Post is well located on the lake shore. The Achensee bus stop is just outside, a short walk to the boats. The cable car is also a short walk away. I booked the most basic room which was spacious and came with a king single bed, armchair and balcony. Being at the end of the building I had...

We've just returned from a two week stay at the Post Hotel Pertisau booked through Thomsons Holidays. Centrally located on the lakeside promenade makes its location perfect for transport, cafes etc. Our room was on the front with a fantastic view of the lake and mountains. The room and the rest of the hotel was immaculately clean. There were plenty...

Just spent a wonderfully relaxing week at the Post. Hotel has everything you could wish for with excellent healthy meals, superb facilities and great service. In a fantastic location overlooking the lake there are endless things to do here particularly if you like walking or cycling. You can sail or swim in the lake, take a steam train or the...

We spent 2 weeks this summer in this hotel and were very pleased. The service is excellent, the rooms are big and confortable (which can be useful given how variable the weather can be...). As for food the breakfast buffet is excellent and plentiful and evening meals are also top quality and I guarantee that you will not be hungry...

The lakeside location of this hotel with mountainous backdrop impressed us from the moment we arrived. All the staff, whether on reception, in the dining room or generally around the hotel were welcoming, extremely polite and helped us by speaking good English. The variety of food on offer catered perfectly for our needs and the option to help ourselves to...

We have just returned from a week's half board booked via a travel company. Comfortable room, fab view of Lake Achensee, right on the front. "Komfort" room with small separate seating area with sofa and shower ensuite. Breakfast very good, fresh fruit, rolls, bread, usual continental ham, cheeseboard and omelettes, eggs, bacon cooked fresh on your order. Dinner tasty and...

I stayed with my partner in Hotel Post for one week in June. The positives: perfect location by the lake’s promenade. We had a lake view room with balcony. The room was spacious with a lovely sitting area. Modern bathroom with shower cubicle. Basket with robes and towels in the room to take to swimming pools/spa.The hotel is typical alpine...

Our room was very spacious, more of a suite, spotlessly clean and with excellent facilities. The balcony view over the lake and mountains was stunning. The hotel excelled in almost all aspects. The staff were very friendly and helpful whether in reception, the dining room or domestic staff. We were so impressed with the imaginative and exciting five-course dinner which...
