I hope I'm reviewing Sangthain Beach Resort, and not a poor innocent victim. We experienced the classic beach vacation tfilm: dreamy looking beach house from a distance, that turns into the worst stay ever. Select lights, windows and air conditioning were broken, mosquitos were breading in the bathroom, and the sheets didn't cover the entire bed which happened to be... More

Nice place...almost own sea beach...nice & clean water............good breakfast....bit costly but OK for short stay....can have spectacular view of the Bay from the hill top rooms.Own boat transfer from main land saved a lot of money otherwise charged when coming through public boat by marine environment staff from foreigners.

the resort was ok, the room is fine to stay, the bathroom needs a lot of work since its pretty dirty! The people there is pretty nice but don't speak much english. The beach is quiet which is good, however be careful of the rocks underneath you may step on. When you arrive to BanPhe Pier, must BARGAIN for the... More

the room is big for 8 people.but the toilet is not good enough : the shower is slow. No swimming pool , little bit far from downtown. Breakfast is ok and the food is testy with reasonable price They also have service boat directly to resort and welcome drink.

Koh Samet has lost its charm. This place needs some work. The views and the beach are nice. There are a lot of flies here during the day. I stayed in the sea view room. Very small and musty smelling from the toilet. I dont think the price represents the value. I wont stay here again and probably wont come... More

The beach is quiet, even during the day. There were maybe twenty other people there at mid day. The room was very basic, a shack with a bed, toilet, and AC, but also very cheap - 600 Baht for a bungalow up the hill. "Seaview" rooms cost 2000 baht, but we could see and hear the water from our room.... More

Originally we booked for one night only but after comparing prices of places in the same area we decided to stay on here (we paid 2000TB through booking.com but only 1300 direct with accom). It was clean and the location was really good. The beach was fairly quiet but a short walk to the next one had plenty of beachfront... More

Stayed here for two nights in a Seaview bungalow room. The room itself had been refurbished and was nice but is very compact for two people to share. The bathroom was old and had no ventilation. Overall it was an okay stay but like another reviewer I thought that the resort was overpriced. The view was stunning from our room... More

Sang Thian Beach is a good choice for Ko Samet if you are looking for quiet. It is easy to walk a couple hundred yards north, over the bluff to Ao Vong Duern, if you want to go to a bar. The surf is gentle and very pleasant for swimming. Our sea-view bungalow was small, basic, and fine, but it... More
