The place is allegedly a 2-star hotel, but I'd give it 1-star at most. The people are very friendly, but this is not up to western standards at all. The room was very dark and had two single beds - too short for me. I didn't sleep much. I looked a t the restaurant menu and decided to eat elsewhere,... More

We arrived at Monywa Hotel for an overnighter but stayed two nights. This hotel is set in beautifully relaxing and peaceful grounds. We were provided with a spacious room which opened out to a large verandah. At day's end, we bought a beer from the reception and enjoyed this on the verandah overlooking the gardens. Our room was on the... More

We book by e-mail and they say that they don't have my booking, lucky me that I have printed the confirmation! After that it was good, nice garden, room look old but clean, fully equipped and big. Staff are useful to book bus,... Breakfast is a buffet.

- Now i'm at Monywa Hotel; Poor service, unpolite receptionist, never recommand to stay there. - We don't have too much choice in Monywa but we have another choice it is Win Unity Resort. It will be best option for you. Good luck !

Our tours coach pulled into a rather smart looking hotel with gold buggy style transport to large chalets, we had the welcome drink and were told that dinner would be in the restaurant. Then we were all told to get back on the coach as the tour "manager" had taken us to the wrong hotel. It was the Winhotel. A... More

There are not many options in Monywa. Rooms here are cheaper than Chindwin Hotel and same standard, if not better. We had deluxe rooms. Hotel location is a plus as is close by the town centre but is very quiet compared to the rest of the places so it's a good rest.

My partner and I were surprised by how few guesthouses/hotels there are in Monywa. We looked at one cheaper but very dirty and damp guesthouse; apart from that we had only two other choices, this one being the slightly cheaper of the two. I really can't fault this hotel, except to say that it is very overpriced at $45/night for... More

Honestly, it's ok to stay here for a night; just don't expect a great deal. There was no shower curtain in our bathroom (not the first time we encountered this in Myanmar). Staff was very friendly. They charged 500 Kyats for ice, but at least it was offered. Breakfast was pretty decent. It's buffet style with fried eggs and other... More

We stayed in a bungalow with two big clean rooms and a nice porch. It looked like there were all kind of different rooms. Nice garden. The restaurant was huge and had only one other table occupied when we ate there. Breakfast was buffet style.
