As sweet as cherry wine, a simplistic way of life that can lift the spirits of any weary soul. Flanked by hills and swathed in greenery, life in the shoes of the locals in Coorg is certainly an experience worth having. And what better way to get a feel of the local culture than by staying in a homestay? This property in Coorg seamlessly blends in with the plantations and picturesque hills flanking it. Lined with an elementary decor, the rooms radiate an ambience of warmth and serenity. The hosts are a local family that leaves no stone unturned to provide guests with the comfort of a home. The food served comprises of delectable Malabar cuisine, since the hosts are from Kannur in Kerala, along with authentic Kodava delicacies as well as homemade desserts made from farm-fresh fruits will be an absolute joy for those with a sweet tooth. A home away from home!!! Perfect gateway stay!!! amazing hospitality!!! Humble and caring hosts. The property is in the midst of Coffee plantation. The road from entrance gate to the house is adventurous and thrilling yet amazing. It goes from within coffee plants. The host, Nishanth, is caring and learned. Food is excellent. Do not forget to order barbecue dinner along with campfire. Nishanth's father(Uncle we called) is caring too. Rooms are cozy and clean, we stayed in mezzanine floor room which was real good. The property also has few animals, kids will like them to feed. Lexy was exiting and caring. The plantation tour was awesome. They also have a small waterfall nearby, inside estate.Overall very relaxing and refreshing stay, we will surely visit again.

Stayed there with 4 friends in Feb 2019. I must say this is is one of the best home stays I have ever stayed at. Amar is a fine host who sincerely cares for the guests and is always available. The food served was delicious and the barbecue they provide is a must try. The coffee plantation is huge and it will take you at least 2 days to explore it completely. We would love to stay here again.

I was there with my wife and 2y old kid for our third anniversary and it turned out to be a best decision that I've made to pick this place. Location: Amidst the coffee plantation and you'll just get indulged in nature. The trees, birds, pet animals, a pond in front of the house (you can even do fishing) and much more. This home stay is just in middle of Kushal nagar and Madikeri town and is a perfect place to access all the sight seeing places. Ambience and amenities: An ancestral property which has been slightly modified with clean and cozy rooms and a perfect coffee estate stay. You even have the high speed internet surprisingly. Hosts: I need to make a special mention about them. I'll never forget them and their smiling faces. If it's coorg, it's just this place. I stayed with my 2y old kid and was in doubt if he will be comfortable or not. By the end of our stay my kid was reluctant to come from this place, he thought it was going to be our home. Food: Awesome Kerala and Coorg style food. I asked for pork curry and it was so perfectly made. Ask for a barbecue, you'll enjoy it.

The homestay, which is located in the middle of an enormous coffee plantation estate is a perfect weekend getaway. With some of the major tourist attractions in near proximity, the homestay is real value for money. The hosts were really welcoming and made us feel very comfortable from the beginning itself. We had plans of having dinner from some nearby restaurants since we had not chosen the package covering dinner. But the hosts were kind enough to call us and inform that it would be difficult to find restaurants nearby and prepared a fulfilling dinner for us for additional charges. The room that we stayed could accommodate 4-5 people. Apart from the cot, there was a loft which had a bed and a diwan, which was kind of nice to relax. All in all, it is worth your money if you are looking for a place to just put up your leg and have some quality lazy time. Alternatively, if you are a person full of energy you can walk all around the coffee plantation to enjoy its beauty and explore the water bodies within the estate.

You go deeper and deeper into the forest until you find this beautiful spot surrounded by coffee plants and only the sounds of the wilderness - also during night. You meet great hospitality from the minut you arrive and until you leave. The Mrs. of the house had even done research on Danish food habits and for once we had a meal without rice.
