Want to support ecological accomodation and live a very inspiring, relaxing, and healthy experience? This is the perfect place. This biological spice plantation is a masterpiece of sustainable ecosystem management with advanced microbiology knowledge. I slept in a well arranged tent surrounded by birds who enchanted my sleep! The food was excellent, healthy and mostly local and biological. The volunteers...

We visited Rainforest Retreat in first week of November 2016. We were a family of six and were allotted the cottage opposite the Buffet Area. We were given clear instruction by Shivani on how to best conduct ourselves in a eco responsible retreat. I was happy to see that few of the windows were equipped with mosquito nets. Since the...

We recently stayed at this so called retreat Eco place. I have to say it's overrated and definitely not for us. It's ok to be environmentally friendly and things are simple. but I just hope the linens, the pillows and the mattresses are clean. Somehow the place reminds me of the emperor's new clothes story. I am sorry but I...

We found Rainforest Retreat through the Lonely Planet and are so happy we made the visit. After close to two months in India, this was my first deep nature experience and it did not disappoint. Fabulous walking trails for self-guided enjoyment and a great walk led by staff. Comfortable accommodation in the cottage and a pleasure to be with limited...

We went for lunch. This place is situated in Madikeri city. Ordered Mutton rogan josh and Prawn ghee roast. Both the dishes were amazing, tasty. We loved it. Ambience was standard. Service was good, as expected in time. We enjoyed our lunch.

We visited the place last year end of December with another friends. December is approaching so the urge of going back to that magical place has drove me to...

Just that the sheets and cottages need a little bit cleaning cus it was very dusty. But the experience was magical specially watching the stars and fireflies in...

The best place to stay in Coorg if you are nature lover. The team here has set a very good example for us to follow, on how to include bio-diversity and organic farming into our lives. We had a fantastic 2 days here and had no mood to return. This place is a BLISS - especially the Plantation Cottages and...

“If you come with children the deluxe room will be a good choice. If you are a couple which want a bit more quiet space I think the Plantation Cottage is a better choice. There are few tents as well as another cottage for more long term staying which you can do self catering if you want.”

“The Plantation Cottage (where we lived) and tents are a steep 10-min hike away from the main dining area, and it may be a bit difficult for older or lazy people to walk the distance. Check their website as well, its pretty informative.”
