We last visited the hotel L'Archipel in October 2014, and have just returned from our 2nd trip to this lovely hotel: we loved it last time, but probably loved it even better on this latest trip, from which we have just returned What makes this hotel very special, and is unusual these days, is that this is a real family... Excellent beach facilities: 1-2 seats canoes, stand up paddlers-only for the next 750 m distance, snorkeling (equipment free and available until 5 pm) Fantastic place at the very interesting north shore of the island Praslin. Poor snorkeling sites next to the beach - even if you go closer to the granite rocks left and right hand site of the beach.... More

As the car pulled up the reception staff came out to greet us by name which was a lovely touch and made us feel special and the service continued to that level throughout our stay. Our room (no 24) was wonderful. Not too far from the reception and pool area but wonderfully quiet with a view to die for! The... More

The setting and surroundings of L'Archipel is as close to perfect as you can get. The hotel has it's own private beach. It was truly beautiful - pristine white sands, crystal clear waters, lined with palm trees offering pleasant shade. It was so beautiful, I felt guilty reading my book! It was never crowded - I think we took one... More

Dinner at L'archipel is one very gratifying experience. Whether you go for an ala carte dinner or prefer the buffet, the gastronomic preferences are endless. The buffet is distinctively creole while the ala carte caters to all sorts of palates. This would definitely be one of the finer dining experiences in the island of Praslin, so savor the experience.

The rooms are spacious and spotless clean. Room service is available twice a day. Garden and pool area are well kept. The private beach is good for swimming. Kajak, mask, snorkel and fins are available free of charge. Though the snorkelling is really nothing to write home about, but that applies to the whole of Seychelles. Breakfast is buffet style... The setting and location of L'Archipel is truly idyllic. The views are spectacular, the beach white and pristine, the grounds immaculate. Couple this with peace and quiet, excellent, attentive staff , a wonderful colonial feel, an infinity pool, exotic flora and fauna and you have as perfect a hotel as you could imagine. However, competition on Praslin is hotting up... More

A beautiful location. The resort offered quiet, peaceful, and gorgeous views. We had a room (Alphonse) that required quite a walk but offered great views to enjoy our morning tea and coffee. Jean (beach activity coordinator) and Pierre (hotel staff) were pleasant and most helpful. The balance of the staff (reception and wait staff) could learn how to smile and... More
