We had been going to Cheltenham house regularly but time has got away on us. We decided to go and stay on our way to Nelson. Seeing Len and Marie was just a pleasure. They remembered us but down to fine detail. How our family was and asking about our house as a result of the Christchurch earthquakes. We had...

We really enjoyed our stay and the breakfast was wonderful. The house is very beautiful and comfortable. Maree gave us great recommendations of places to go in town. We will come see you again if ever back in New Zealand.

This spot was booked for us by our tour guide, John Fitzwater of GoTourNZ, and what a find. Maree and Len are just wonderful people and they've been doing this forever so are very professional. It is close, about one block, from downtown Hanmer Springs and the hot baths. But maybe best is that they serve breakfast for you IN...

We came here a few years ago and made a point of returning because it was so lovely last time, and that hasn't changed. I'll be back, though it may be a few more years sadly. The house is I think a quality restoration with very comfortable facilities, very civilised in the best sense, pampered even. Excellent bed, I slept...

I m very impressed with my first experience at the B & B. Hosts are very friendly and make you feel like home away from home. We get to meet many people from different countries too. This place is perfect for family holiday, it is very kids friendly too. We will definitely be back.

Awesome retreat, Len and Marie are fantastic hosts. I come here when I want to take time out from my busy life . My dog is welcome too! Close to every amenity and activity I need. Quiet and private and secure grounds where my dog can run free. Sumptuous breakfasts included in the price and pre dinner wine supply is...

It is great to hear that our objective of a providing a tranquil retreat is effective and that guests enjoy the breakfasts. Your favourite breakfast is shared by many. Hope we catch up again very soon.

We stayed at Cheltenham House for one night and wanted to stay longer. Maree and Len are wonderful and gracious hosts. They really did make us feel welcome and as if we had been friends for awhile :) The house and rooms in the house are decorated and furnished beautifully. Our very comfortable room had a lovely sunroom attached to...

We decided to spend three nights in Hanmer Springs having spent almost three weeks rushing around New Zealand trying to fit in all the sites that the wonderful country has to offer. We decided to spoil ourselves having stayed in some fairly mediocre motels during our travels and chose the Cheltenham House, we were not disappointed. The warmest of welcomes...

Thank you for taking time to review "Cheltenham House". Len and I are so happy you enjoyed your stay. Guests need at least 2 days to relax and enjoy all our great little village offers. We appreciate your feedback re the basin. Designers are not always the most practical!!! We love the time we share with our guests and do...

Hanmer Springs is a destination town, the main destination being the hot springs (though you can go hiking, horseriding, white water rafting &etc if you please). Accommodation in the town ranges from backpackers to motels, but if you're working out your aches and pains in stinky sulphur water, why wouldn't you then kick back in superior accommodation? For superior, I...

Wow! Maree and Len are the consummate hostess and host but how could they not be with such a beautifully restored and furnished home. Len's kitchen talents are just as impressive as his restoration skills. Don't miss aperitifs at 6:30pm in the snooker room! No:31 for dinner is in keeping with this luxurious experience. Oh yeah, the mineral baths are...
