As I was travelling solo, the French Studio suited me perfectly for 3 nights. The room heater, additional hot water bottle and underfloor bathroom heating provided sufficient warmth for the cold winter/spring evenings. Convenient to town and nearby activities, though more difficult to find the first time at night along country roads that aren't well-lit. Suzie's organic breakfast lived up...

If you're looking for some countryside and nature ambiance, then this place is for you! The cottage was designed with cute fireplace. Everything is just so neat and clean and woody. Alistair, the owner was super friendly and welcoming. The only downside was the wifi, it was only 1Gb complimentary wifi and quite slow. But then again, maybe wifi doesn't...

Hello and Thank you for your wonderful review. So glad you enjoyed your stay, although I am very sorry about your experience with the wifi. There must have been some misunderstanding, because we offer our guests unlimited wifi use. We will endeavour to ensure our future guests understand that, and have more vouchers readily available. Warm greeting, friendly hosts, sumptuously comfortable beds, lovely grounds and charmingly individual and fresh accommodation. The fresh cows milk is divine and makes you appreciate the good life. We were in Read House, which was a delight from every aspect and could comfortably accommodate my mother, son and myself, but two couples with a child just as easily. We had...

We stayed in the Earth Lodge. It is an absolutely wonderful place to stay. The hosts are incredibly friendly and breakfast was just amazing. Our only regret was it was only a one night stay. Will definitely be back for a longer stay.

These villas are close to the town of Cambridge and was the best we could find at the time. We stayed in "Reid House", a one-bedroom apartment that is situated in a small paddock in which about 5 cows and 3 or more calves roamed. Only a low electrified fence separate them from us which was only a metre or...

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We are so very sorry that we were not able to make your stay a happy one. Really attractive location with Owners that are seriously interested in the organic way of life but are highly attentive whilst not being overpowering. Stayed in Cobb cottage which apparently was the chosen location for Sir Ian McKellen when he was filming "The Hobbitt". Beautiful and Quaint it most certainly is and in an extremely quiet location. Very convenient if visiting...

I booked Earthstead villas directly through their website. Before booking I called them directly to discuss our plans with Alistair and determine which was the best room to book. Alistair was extremely helpful with the booking process and since we were four adults with two small children he recommended the Cob Cottage - where he added an additional twin bed...

The owners were delightful, each cottage stunning in its own way. The breakfast and welcome platter were all organically made/grown/baked using produce and diary from around the property. So great and such a beautiful experience. I wish we'd stayed longer than 1 day. We'd go back in a heartbeat!

One year ago, five friends from Romania traveled to New Zealand in the trip of their lifetime(so far), trying to make every stop as special as possible. This meant also finding the most particular accommodations, in terms of coziness, environmentally friendly, character and host's implication in the soul of their business. While wondering on the hobbits' shire, we chose Earthstead...
