Our cottage room was delightful, although not cheap. Only ones in the restaurant tonight. Sorry, chef Steve, you could have gone home if it was not for us, but we hope it was worth staying to cook your absolutely delicious food. Seafood chowder-yum, the steak perfectly cooked and my chicken was delightful. It was great to make your acquaintance and...

8 of us stayed here and all thoroughly enjoyed it. The rooms are simple but very nice and warm and the gardens are well kept. The restaurant is fantastic. The menu has good variety and is not too long. Food was excellent and a very good wine list. The owners and operators cannot be more helpful and friendly. Well worth...

A sound choice for accommodation in Ballendean, these cottages are clean and close to the vineyard action. The grounds are pleasant and despite the closeness to the highway, sound is not a major problem. Unfortunately, the term "kitchenette" apparently means many things to many people. A microwave oven and a sink, to me at least, is not a kitchenette; the...

The cottages are lovely - they are clean, in good condition, and set on a beautiful property. Walk down the little garden path through arches of flowers to your room. The restaurant on site is excellent - one of my favourite in the area for a nice dinner. The location, just off the highway, makes this a convenient location if...

We've stayed here a few times and now whenever we are in Stanthorpe book our stay here. Penny & John are wonderful hosts and the surrounding gardens are just beautiful. We've stayed in the Queen Cottage a couple of times and in one of the King Terraces... could not fault either! Love the special little touches... the soft bath towels...

Stayed here with three of my adult children and my husband for a few nights in one of the double story cottages on a last minute trip - it was the only accommodation available for five adults. Felt it was overpriced considering the lack of space in the cottage and the lack of amenities. The positives were the comfortable beds,...

Thank you for taking the time to review our facilities. In response to your review. Our cottages are not self-contained and we do not advertise them as being so. There is two bathrooms in the Two bedroom cottage which both have sinks. We do have other cottages with kitchenettes but not for 5 guests. Our cottages are serviced each day...

A wonderful place to stay, but three things worth mentioning. First is the great bathrooms ... huge, well-designed, with lots of hanging space for wet towels. Second is the home-made biscotti in the rooms. Third is the wonderful chef, who kindly whipped up two delicious vegetarian meals for my husband and I, even though they weren't on the menu. All...

We stayed there with friends. It was our first stay, but our friends are regulars. We will not stay anywhere else. John and Penny are wonderful hosts. It is a great location near all the best vineyards of the Granite Belt. The chalets were clean and well appointed. LOVED IT!!!

What a delightful place to stay, clean, comfortable in a very pleasant setting. The staff were the best, nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant menu was most adequate and the food and service top shelf. Ok not 5 star but I would stay here again when next back this way.

We had the best weekend staying at Vineyard Cottages - the accommodation is good but the hosts Penny & John provided all the little touches that made our stay exceptional. Terrific dinner & breakfast scrumptious - only $18 for contintental or cooked - excellent value and homemade muesli to die for. John also booked us on a wine tour (Fillipos)...
