We are bilingual and had called to ask if we could bring our small dog. We were told it was they had one unit availble for pets. When arriving we found the room to be at the bottom of 4 flights of stairs, very must, even mold on the mattress. The kind receptionist gave us a room next to the...

Overall you have and enjoyable stay. The owner is extremely knowledgeable of the area (we draws his own maps) and willing to help. The balcony of our room had a curtain of leaves, and makes you feel you really are in the middle of the "huasteca" jungle. Breakfast are excellent, produced with local food. Their own sustainable coffee production pays...

Good place to stay at, good staff. The gentleman owner was very nice and always accomodating and taking care of us. His wife could have been a little more friendlier. The rooms are nice, on multi-levels (everything on Xilitia is on a hillside) with lots of vegetation; weather was a little cool, and there is no heating in the place;...

Excellent 3 night stay. Beautiful balcony to sit out on and enjoy the lush surroundings and the birds. Try to visit Xilitla on a Sunday, market day, and Haupango dancing and music on the plaza from 1-5. Las Pozas is amazing. Great bus ride from Queretaro through the Sierra Gorda.

Just as a visit to "Las Pozas" is a unique experience in the Sierra Gorda, so is staying at Hostal del Café. A comfortable & colorfully decorated hotel in the true "Mexican" style. Alejandro is a great host and his wife Dalila serves one of the most authentic breakfasts in the "Huasteca". They gladly exchanged our room for one with...

We stayed with my wife in past March. We were very excited at the beginning, the staff was really kind and helpful. The hotel is surrounded of plants and the rooms in several levels. We chose Galatea Room and we were out to meet Xilitla. When we come back the room was completely wet, the floor and walls, our nightmare...

We really enjoyed staying here, The owner (Alejandro) was very helpful and friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The hotel itself is beautiful, decorated in a traditional manner and built into a hillside which affords lovely views. The garden is leafy and relaxing and includes a patio where breakfast is served. The breakfast was tasty and fresh and the coffee...

Xiltla, Mexico has many hotels but Hostal del Cafe is unique and offers a wonderful opportunity to rest and relax. The hotel is made up of the main hotel rooms and several cottages built on a rocky mountain-side. Beautiful, and well cared for plants, surround the grounds. It's like being in a jungle. The cafe offers a terrific and authentic...

We are a small hotel family, like that abound today In the villages of the European company, with all the independence and privacy in a warm and welcoming as is he were at home, surrounded by greenery, it rains a lot in Xilitla, including hummingbird, blackbird, woodpeckers, waivers, and some other tlacuachito. With a humid temperate climate in winter, hot and humid in summer, but nights are cool because of its height, the rest of the year, which makes us lush vegetation and a diversity of birds, for this the rooms are named after birds and plants. All rooms are different and comfortable, each has been maintained in the décor, giving particulars, designed to pamper the senses and the stay of our guests to feel at home. Hikers and hiking, mountain biking or caving, bird watchers, butterfly, nature lovers, found in the hostel's café, your best ally in the café hostel, because the coffee is the main activity of the family, and is Xilitla coffee producing area.
