Eight of us spent three nights at the Posada Castillo while exploring Las Posas, the Tampaon River and other unique sites in the gorgeous jungle mountains of the Huasteca culture. This was my eighth visit to Xilitla and seventh stay at the Posada, a unique building which greatly enriches the overall experience. The wonderful hostess, Luisa, her husband Andre who...

The Posada El Castillo is the most interesting place you can stay in Xilitla...It has a great history...built by the right hand man of Edward James (of the Las Posas site.) You should be aware that a parking lot is about a half a block away and that some of the rooms are accessed by a spiral or somewhat difficult...

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and really enjoyed the location, service and gourmet local cuisine. The view from the high floors was beautiful and the hotel has a rich and interesting history that you can enjoy as a guest. I'd highly recommend the hotel if you are traveling to Xilitla.

Each room is so unique and interesting. The hotel is well located in Xilitla to walk around the town and see the market. The hotel features the cement molds used to build the Las Pozas' structures. it is very worthwhile to see these before visiting the garden. The owner could not have been nicer. The owner's husband is a guide...

If you plan to visit Las Pozas, the surrealistic gardens from Edward James, this is the perfect plane to stay. Being his residence for many years, it captures perfectly the atmosphere created by him. Beautiful and unique as the gardens, full of fantastic discoveries and crowned with a delicious breakfast. The only opportunity is to work on the acoustic since...

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was awe and art inspiring. Many of the concrete molds from Las Pozas are displayed, which was very interesting. Luisa, the granddaughter of Edward James, gave us a tour with all the information. She shared the fossils that were found during the building, the amazing firemen's pole, I loved the parrots, the terrace,...

We loved this hotel, it's architecture, design, art. We have wanted to visit Las Pozas for years and staying in this hotel just added to the magical experience. Our room was so fabulous from it's turquoise floor files, to the giant bath, the gothic windows and the fantastic green light fittings. The staff were lovely and Luisa with her perfect...
