Traveling with a pet is always a challenge as most places do not accept pets. I have traveled to Nova Scotia many times over the last 15 years and have stayed at the Clifty Cove Motel a number of times. Usually I chose to stay...More
What a great find. Beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, clean rooms. Sat on the adirondack chairs and watched a gorgeous sunset. Had been to Halifax and Peggy's Cove and just happened to find this online. Definitely worth the stop!
A very clean version of the old fashioned drive up motel, you can indulge in nostalgia here. Rooms have been updated, and beds are good. Grab bars in bathrooms, though would recommend they get bath mats also for safety, and a chain on door for...More
We enjoyed our stay at the Clift Cove Motel. We.visited Peggy's Cove and Halifax. The hotel is cute and well maintained. Perfect location right on the water. We ate at the local restaraunts enjoying the fresh seafood. Try the coconut pie at the Finer Diner.

We went in September, and do not remember a BBQ. If there was one, it would have been very small. We didn't spend a lot of time at the motel, as Peggys Cove was our main destination. They had two adirondack chairs set on the beach at the motel. The beach is fairly narrow, but the view is very nice.
They do have a general store on the main road not far from the motel which may have supplies. One word of advice, depending on when you go, the mosquitoes are horrific. Even with jackets and long pants, these guys were all around us. We didn't have this same problem with insects at the light house.
Have a great trip!
