We stayed in one of their motel rooms as the rooms in the B&B were full. The rooms are basic but very neat and clean. The wifi was easy to log on there too. The hosts' family were in for a visit, so we had great conversations with all of them. We were the only ones at breakfast and loved...

My adult daughter and I traveled to several places in the Atlantic provinces. It was our first time to the area, so helpful hints from our hosts, Sharon and John, were much appreciated. We ended up staying 3 nights, using this as a base for our sightseeing of Cape Breton. We stayed in the main house, where the room had 2...

We originally booked at this "top rated" B&B in Port Hawkesbury (Harbourview B&B), only to realize that perhaps it was the top rated of $85 lodgings... we do not recommend this B&B (really, a mobile home unit in a parking lot)! It was dingy, dark, small, no water view, the host was horribly rude. In fact, it was so bad...

We never stay at b&b's. They have separate motel rooms behind the house and a beautiful view of the water. This is a wonderful little place to stay and the breakfast was home cooked and wonderful. A nice change from the continental breakfasts at the hotels we have been staying at. If I'm ever back in the area I will...

I came into Port Hawksbury at about 8pm and found this charming B&B to stay at. Sharon and John made my stay very enjoyable with friendly conversation with them and other guests. I slept like a log in the comfortable bed in the main house upstairs, and breakfast was awesome!! I was ready to hit the road refreshed and raring...

Stayed here one night on a quick tour of the Cabot Trail. The room was clean & served all our needs, the price was right, and the breakfast was terrific. They owners were very helpful with local details and gave sound advise on travel tips for heading through the Cabot Trail. We would stay here again on our next visit.

Stayed here one night to take in the opening night of the Celtic Colours Festival. The hotel room (#10) was a typical hotel room, however if was very clean and suitable for our stay. I am not sure what the B&B rooms were like. Hotel had a large sunroom overlooking the harbour where we along with friends enjoyed some wine...

We enjoyed Room 1 which was large and comfortable. However, we felt misled because the room description includes a private bath. While that is technically correct, the bathroom requires leaving the bedroom, entering the hallway, and then entering the bathroom. So, while we had exclusive use of the bathroom, entering the hallway makes it less than "private" to us. This...

Four of us stayed here overnight on a trip through Cape Breton Island. Our motel room was spotless and comfortable. The mattress was a bit thin but even so we slept well. And the breakfast was awesome. These are really nice people who have got this b & b business down to a fine art. Thanks for a great stay.

Stayed here with family. Two stayed in the motel unit and two in the main residence. Both were excellent. John was very helpful in advising us of sites and local places to eat. Was one of the best breakfasts we had on our vacation. Definitely a place to stay while on route to Sydney. Great experience.
