This hotel has a great location on a "hill" and is 5-7 min walk from the railway station. The road leading to the base of the property is a slope, so anyone with a lot of luggage or with walking disability need to beware. There is also a flight of steps leading to the hotel and there is NO elevator...

Not a cheap hotel, and not value for money either. The meals on offer were expensive, and while I appreciate that not every meal can be made to comply with every dietary requirement, to just be told there were no Gluten Free options, and that my partner would just need to choose a dish that contained no pastry, batter, pasta,...

Stayed for a night in March with 2 other states. Had room 1. Twin bedded and very comfortable. Ensuite bathroom recently refurbished and excellent shower. Loads of power point in the room as well. Only downside was that I couldn't get the wi fi in my room. Clean and tidy. Staff friendly and bar open to all hours. Good selection...

We stayed here for 2 nights. We wanted a special getaway for a few days following a very difficult year for us. We booked by phone directly with the hotel, requesting a superior king suite. We could not have this as were bringing our dog with us, but we could have a superior king room, which was fine, as it...

The West Highlands Hotel was the perfect base to explore Mallaig and the Isle of Skye. We had a wonderful stay and were especially impressed with the whiskey selection at the bar. I will be back again one day!!

Up a very steep hill and then no lift in the hotel. Rooms were good and clean. Didn't fancy the menu in the restaurant as it seemed a bit bland and simple. Breakfast was good and freshly prepared. Staff friendly and well stocked bar

Stayed 3 nights with 3 friends. Two of us shared a twin room, and the other two had singles. All the rooms were very small, and rather cramped, with little space for suitcases etc.. Corridors looked a bit tatty. Bathrooms have obviously recently been upgraded and were good with walk-in showers. However, the downstairs lounge and bar was very welcoming,...

We only went for lunch (on this occasion) and this newly renovated hotel was the ideal location in Mallaig. Perched on a hill the dinning room had amazing views. Our request for a window seat was granted and the food was faultless and clearly, very fresh and local. The staff were lovely and accommodating. This beautifully decorated hotel has encouraged...
