Anyone interested to enter into the heart of Northern Ireland, here you might catch a glimpse of it. Landscape great, places to visit near, conversations with the owners inspiring, breakfast fresh and delicious. Highly recommended on your way to catch a glimpse of contemporary Irish literature or just spend some days in the area. Thank you Gerardine and Eugene

Delicious breakfasts, truly welcoming hosts and rooms full of great poems, paintings and artefacts ...absolutely the best B & B I have ever stayed in. Located in the lovely town of Magherafelt, with lots of choices for evening meals - and very well placed for a visit to Seamus Heaney's HomePlace or a tour, with blue-badge guide Eugene, (one of...

If you are visiting the beautiful countryside and historic sights of Mid-Ulster, then Laurel Villa is a very comfortable and hospitable place to do base yourself. Eugene and Geraldine have a gorgeous house and their hospitality is exceptional. You will enjoy your stay just for their welcome alone. (I say nothing of the delicious breakfast). But if you love the...

Laurel Villa has a special ambience-warm, welcoming, restful, clean, comfortable, beautiful furnishings, tastefully decorated, fabulous food, lovely beds, comfortable bedrooms, artistic display of poetry and art and all you ever need to know about Seamus Heaney, or indeed anything at all about the locality. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you Eugene and Geraldine. I had a lovely time....

On March 4th I had the privilege of visiting The Seamus Heaney Centre in Bellaghy Co. Derry and on route our group stopped off for fabulous refreshments in Laurel Villa Townhouse owned by Eugene & Geraldine Kielt. This beautiful old world townhouse is the ideal setting for the scrumptious tea/coffee and homemade sweet and savory scones baked by Geraldine. These...

We were in Magherafelt for a family funeral. Five of us stayed. They were very amenable, pleasant hosts. Our room was a little small, but really warm and the bed was very comfortable. I really don't want to say anything negative, as they were so good, but I would have liked some shampoo along with the shower gel provided. I...

We were attending an event a few weeks ago in the beautiful Homeplace centre in Bellaghy which we loved. Staying with Geraldine and Eugene was pure magic. Their home is a relaxed yet incredibly thoughtful homage to Seamus Heaney, Irish literature and art. Their hospitality was warm, good humoured and kind. Breakfast was delicious. We can't imagine staying anywhere else...

We ended up in Magherafelt for the sole purpose of visiting the Seamus Heaney Homeplace, the places mentioned in his poetry and to visit his grave. We booked Laurel Villa for the night, as it's near the Homeplace by car. What a find. Hosts Eugene and Geraldine are marvellous people who couldn't do enough for us. They are devoted to...

Having spent 2 nights at Laurel Villa recently while away on business in Magherafelt I rate it as an excellent place to stay. First and foremost I received a very warm welcome from the extremely helpful and friendly hosts. The house itself is most pleasant. It's very elegant offering accommodation in beautifully quaint rooms. The relaxed surroundings and comfortable bed...

Came with my dad and sister and found Laurel Villa. It's close to one of our cousins. We liked Laurel Villa a lot. The owners are very nice and so are the rooms. If I could go back and visit I would totally do it. I'm thankful for the Laurel Villa and the things they do to make sure the...
