Friendly and helpful owners, with campers & caravanners to match. The river and swings were great fun for the kids. We tried various meats and cheeses, all of which were delicious. The campfire in pitch 1/2 was secluded and great for later nights and (cold) early mornings. Goat feeding a must for the young ones. Donkey grumpy but cute.

Had a lovely weeks stay at Wookey Farm. The site was quiet, and not overcrowded. Plenty of space for children to run around. Compost loo no problem. We liked the fact that there was a picnic bench on each pitch, and bins provided to make recycling easy. Our daughter (and us!) enjoyed going to watch the curious goats being milked....

Cracking little campsite fun for all the family Lovely to have a campfire and the river is ace the walks in the surrounding areas are great and the sausages from the farm are delicious. The owners are really friendly and the compost toilets are no bother

we visited wookey farm as campers with 3 young kids (6,4 &1). The farmers were friendly. The camping spots are separated by bushes so it's pretty private and there are allocated fire spots. We had a picnic bench. Everything was set up well, even the compost loo had a library you could borrow books from! The kids loved going to...

Arriving at midday on a Friday for a two night stay, we were shown to our spacious pitch. An environmentally friendly and low impact affair, this campsite offers back-to-basics camping. It was VERY hot on the Saturday so we all went and had a lie down in the gin clear waters of the Axe. This place took me back to...

A lovely site with spacious pitches most of them with trees either side to give a little privacy. Drinking water points at either end of the field meant nobody had far to walk to refill. There was also an outdoor pizza oven, which although we didn't use is a lovely touch. Each pitch also had its own picnic bench and...

We had an amazing short stay here. Plenty of room for the children to run around and a picturesque stream to splash and play. You can watch the goats getting milked and meet the animals. Very clean, tidy and Eco friendly. Lovely owners. Lovely big pitches with space for camp fires which just adds to the whole camping experience! Perfect...

So, if like us, you are looking for a natural campsite with few rules, somewhere to really chill then this is the place to head for. I camped here with my boyfriend for 2 nights this week and found this place to be rather charming. We enjoy wild camping so for us this is as near to the "wild" with...

Really lovely campsite, small and intimate and well thought out. It will appeal to people who enjoy getting away from it all and children would love the access to the goat farm. The farm shop was another bonus selling their own cheese and meat. Location is great for visiting Wells, Cheddar etc and there are loads of great walks nearby....

Probably our favourite site on our journey so far. If you want peace and tranquility and don't need an all singing and dancing site, this could be the one. Very spacious all grass pitches, most with picnic table and access to make a campfire. Compost loo's, interesting but works perfectly. Easy water access and electric on most pitches. Farm shop...
