People were friendly on arrival. Although it was approx 3:00pm our rooms were still not prepared. We were shown to our room, the first thing that we noticed was the amount of cobwebs and dust caked on the beams. The bathroom had no lock on the door, the shower was filthy and pieces of plastic round the tray were missing...

Stayed mid week for one night. The place is in a very nice location across the road from the church and first impressions was of a pub with rustic charm. We were not disappointed, the Marton Arms is certainly rustic. Our room was a little dated and possibly in need of a face lift but had everything we needed. The...

Just had a three night stay at this lovely little country hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and we were made to feel very welcome. Food is lovely especially the steak and ale pie. Staff are very very friendly. Bed comfy and room had everything we needed. Lovely views out of the window. We will be back!

Stayed at the Marton Arms 18 years ago and it was great to go back. The rooms are very comfortable with all the essentials, good central heating and hot power shower. The bar has a great atmosphere and the food is very good. The Full English Breakfast was more than adequate and the coffee good. This is a fabulous place...

Well we had read some good reviews for this hotel, but our first impressions were terrible, peeling paint work and general dereliction from the car park. Our room was OK, but needed updating and some TLC. It was clean but the beds were cheap and uncomfortable. The staff however were all very good and friendly, the food was fine and...

We were staying in Ingleton for a short easter break and decided to visit for dinner on the Tuesday evening. Although very quiet with no other diners at the time, we were not disappointed. The barman Chris was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the chips were the best ever! Reasonable prices too!

Overall it was really good. The caravan was spacious and comfortable, would have liked to have had nets at the windows rather than just curtains for some privacy, also the upholstery and living area carpets could do with a thorough wash or to be replaced- there was a distinct dog smell which was not very pleasant. The camp site was...

My best friend and I have recently had the pleasure of staying in this excellent establishment, boasting an extremely warm welcome, immaculately clean rooms with the best shower in the western world. As it was best friend compliant 'Seamus' aged 5 and slightly molting, had an excellent time, he loved the views from the rear garden and would have loved...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are a traditional Country Inn located 3/4 of a mile from Ingleton and just 6 miles away from Kirkby Lonsdale. We have 10 guest bedrooms, two of which have four poster beds, one twin bedroom and one family bedroom, the rest are double bedrooms. We are ideally located for the those doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks or visiting the White Scar Caves and Ingleton Waterfalls. All of our food is prepared freshly on site to order and we use locally sourced suppliers. For those Ale drinkers we have 8 Cask Ale hand pulls, which during the busy season we try and have all 8 on. During the quieter months this is not always possible. For those winter months we have two roaring log burning stoves in the bar and for the Summer months we have two lovely beer gardens, one out the front of the hotel looking over St Oswalds Church and one out the back looking over open fields. ... more   less
