We normally drive right past and go onto the Lakes, well never again! Martin and Jane where fantastic hosts they had lots of recommendations and where very caring. The B&B itself was very cosy, warm and comfortable; just where you would want to go after walking all day. The bathroom was stocked with local toiletries and there was tea and...

Excellent accommodation, Nothing was too much trouble for Jan & Martin who go out of there way to help. Rooms were of a high standard along with the dinning area, the whole setup is charming and welcoming. Breakfast set's you up for the days activities, with the location ideal for walkers.

We stayed her for two nights of luxury so we could do the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. This bed and breakfast is simply beautiful. Lovely room, gorgeous breakfast, beautiful toiletries in the bathroom, and great owners who went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and well looked after, especially after a long and very challenging walk. Thanks for...

We only stayed for one night, and that was the only negative thing about our trip! The location was beautiful, the accommodation warm, modern and a home from home, and our hosts could not do any more for us. Breakfast was fantastic, probably the best we've had at any hotel or b&b. We'll be coming back again soon :)

Very friendly welcome at this pretty bed and breakfast place. The breakfast was tasty; good quality ingredients were well cooked. No hesitation in recommending Croft Gate, it is an especially good location for walkers.

We stayed for one night (only unfortunately!). Martin and Jan were fantastic hosts. They were incredibly helpful and welcoming, they helped us find a place for dinner and could recommend something to suit anyone in the local area. The room was perfect, beautifully decorated and clean, and the en suite having a bath was wonderful. The bathroom was stocked with...

I had booked this lovely B&B as a treat for my boyfriend for his birthday. We are both walkers so this seemed like the perfect retreat having read other reviews. I can say it didn't disappoint. We stayed for 3 nights in room 2 which was so well furnished. The bed is huge and comfy, and there is a little...

Simply fantastic stay. The B&B is ideally located for casual and serious walkers alike. Room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. Toiletries were high quality as were the furnishings. Breakfast was fantastic with several choices and fresh high quality ingredients provided. Check out the pub a short walk up the road (Old Hill Inn)- the food was exceptional- particularly...

Quality B&B in a quiet and tranquil setting. Ideal for walkers and people just wanting to relax. Very nice accomodation, spotlessly clean, a good bed and a warm welcome from Jan and Martin. The breakfast (picture included in review) was the best we have had anywhere and we do a lot of travelling. Perfectly cooked. What more could you ask...

The ideal place to stop after a long day of walking. The rooms are beautiful and so peaceful. The owners are attentive and the breakfast is really good. The only place to stay when walking in the area !
