We stayed at the George Albert a couple of weeks ago for a family reunion. The rooms were very good with some wonderful views over the Dorset countryside. We had exclusive use of the King's Restaurant on a Saturday night (19 of us) and, in my opinion, the food could not be faulted. But the most important thing that stood...

We booked this hotel off late rooms, and what a treat. The rooms are very spacious, quiet, and immaculately clean. The food is very good quality. You do need a car to get around because it is a little out of the way, but that is a very small minus point. How this hotel is only a three star is...

Stayed here for four nights with a coach trip. Hotel room was nice quiet and very clean. Food was very good with friendly staff. Only minus point was that you had nowhere to walk in the evening after dinner as the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, with no footpaths etc. All in all a nice stay.

We were given exactly what we asked for, a nice quiet room. The cleanliness was good and the ceremony went off without a hitch. I asked for extra bedding and nothing was too much trouble. I wasn't sure if the waiting staff belonged to the hotel for the evening but one waitress seemed to think that they had run out...

Booked whilst attending a Clay Pigeon Kart event and was very pleased with the service, space , decor, food and general setting of the whole experience? The wines list and choices of food were first class . Everyone on the staff were smiling even at breakfast. Just so helpful and the teenagers were also catered for and not made to...

Stayed here for two nights on our way back from Cornwall. Was very disappointed in the standard of the room. Thought it was very basic for the price we paid. The rooms do not have refrigerators although when I asked one was sent to the room. However disappointments were made up for by the great and obliging staff. We had...

My husband and I were looking for somewhere to stay for a couple of nights with easy access to the Jurassic coast and we found it with the George Albert Hotel. Probably not ideal if you have small children (as a bit too isolated) but for adults looking for a clean modern hotel with a hearty breakfast to start the...

Pros: room was large, immaculately clean, modern and in excellent condition. Neutrals: hotel is well presented but lacking character - a solid business choice Cons: booked in at 5.45pm to be told no tables available at restaurant unless I wanted to eat at 6.30. Room service menu is just sandwiches and chips, and eating in the bar area was noisy...

Without a doubt one of the best hotels I've stayed at ever in terms of welcome, cleanliness, service and good food. Well done to the Manager and all the team - the waiting staff, in particular, for making our visit such a pleasure. 5 stars from me. Thank you!
