Staying in Bere Regis. Chose The Royal Oak Hotel for an evening meal. Was recommended by the establishment we were staying with. Good food at an affordable price. Well presented and extremely tasty. Staff friendly and happy to accommodate children.

Great food, lovely service and nice atmosphere. Our group of 18 was well accommodated and welcomed. Nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend. The menu covered many tastes and the happy hour drinks were a nice bonus.

Called in here en route to Bovington and was pleasantly surprised that the whole carvery is gluten free as I am coeliac. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions excellent with a good selection of vegetables. The waitress was very friendly and served us promptly. Would thoroughly recommend this pub for eating even if you aren't coeliac.

Freshly prepared and good portions. I didn't find anything 'out of the ordinary' here. But it was clean and pleasant and the food was hot and served promptly. The mints with the bill were a pleasant surprise.

The room was lovely, with the added luxury touch of towelling robe and slippers. We ate in the pub one evening but the service was appalling. Not the fault of Claire the waitress who was apologetic but the chef took an hour to make our starters, can only think he must have nipped to the coast to catch the prawns....

My wife had Hunters chicken which was also very good. The ice cream is homemade and is honestly the best ice cream I have tasted,, I had the lemon curd flavour mmmmmm...

Stayed only 2 nights B& B. When you stay in pubs in the UK you must be prepared to get anything !!. In this case we were very surprised in a nice way. Plenty of parking and met by friendly smiling staff that spoke good clear English. Then given keys to one of three rooms up the stairs. Opened the...
