We spent 3 nights here and absolutely loved it - amazing food and great service! We stayed in Room 4 which has a lovely view of the garden. Would definitely recommend to anyone after a relaxing stay in a convenient location.

This was our first time ever staying at B&B, and I must say it was an awesome experience. Richard and Deborah are amazing hosts. Upon arrival, Richard showed us through the house, and our room (which was on ground floor. The lodge is located miles away (about 30 mins) from the hustle and bustle of Windermere, but in a beautiful...

Thank you for such a lovely, detailed review of your stay, what more can I add? Debs is a vegetarian and so the breakfast option for vegetarians is based on what she likes, and we have lots of guests having it just as a change. I hope to welcome you back sometime soon. All the best Richard

Richard was so welcoming when we arrived, gave us a tour of the house and brought us a pot of tea and homemade chocolate brownies. Amazing location with views of forest and we liked sitting on balcony watching the birds. Stayed in room 3 which was a large room with very comfy king size bed, lovely decor and very nice...

To put it simply, we loved this place! We stayed at the Grizedale Lodge in August 2016 and we were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived and the owner Richard greeted us and gave us a tour. So much thought has been put into every detail in this hotel. Tea, coffee and biscuits are available at...

A great place. Completely cut away from the modern world and entering a tranquillising hospitality of Richard and Dev. They particularly takes care of every need with a great smile. Short distance from Go Ape, picturesque Hawkshead town centre and Ambleside. A place to enjoy for everyone. We went with our elderly parents and they almost fallen love with Grizedale...

Thank you for your kind review. I am glad all of you enjoyed your stay so much here and perhaps we will have to visit India as your 'young' parents suggested to sample the lovely culture of the country and the people there. I hope you and your parents are able to retyrn some day. All the best Richard

Thank you for your review, and I am so pleased you both enjoyed your visit to the Lake District and of course Grizedale Lodge!
