The location is great because it is just in front of the beach, so ask for a room with views. Rooms are spacious (and so are bathrooms), so they are perfect for families with kids. And they have all the amenities and toiletries you may need. And although they are very clean, look a bit outdated or shabby. Staff is kind and helpful, and make you feel like at home. Breakfast is pretty good too. Regarding the price, it’s not cheap but either expensive. The only con. for me would be the restaurant, because food is just ok and pricy for what they offer and the service. If it was cheaper I would think it is ok. To sum up I would say it is cozy, welcoming and inviting. Would I be back? Sure, but I wouldn’t ask any special at the restaurant (I must say they, hotel and rest., work separately).…
We decided to break up our french holiday eitg a few days walking on the Cami Ronda along the cosya brava and Llafranc was a great place to stay the hotel was simple but clean and welcoming we had three peaceful nights sleep and enjoyed the excellent buffet breakfasts.
Small boutique hotel in an excellent location just yards away from a wide sandy beach along the promenade in Llafranc. The hotel has about 20 simple, but comfortable, rooms with air conditioning and good quality beds. Rooms in the front of the building have sea views and small balconies. The three rooms on the top floor have been converted in ultra modern style, each with their own small jacuzzi. On the ground floor you find a dining room and a fantastic terras. The food is of excellent quality, prepared with much attention to detail and originality. Excellent wine list. The hard working staff are very helpful and friendly, as are the owners. The hotel offers paid parking for guests. Highly recommended.
My sister and I spent a week here at the beginning of September. Staff make or break all hotel stays, and we felt that the service we received was second to none. Maria on reception, the lovely curly headed coffee maker/ waiter at breakfast could not have been more helpful. We never met the housekeeping staff but we liked their work! This hotel was a wonderful find. Perfectly positioned, immaculately maintained and an old world charm. Many restaurants within striking distance, a bus that tootles around the bays. We definitely recommend a stay here,
Unless you are planning not to sleep at night, do not stay in a room in the front of the hotel over the bar on a Friday or Saturday night in season. Our entire room was vibrating until nearly 4:00 am. In fairness, they did warn that it would be loud, but this took loud to a new level for us. The only good things about the hotel was the breakfast and the view of the beach from out room. The friendliness of the wait staff and maids, was not duplicated by most of the people working the reception desk. It was a one and done for us.
