Being frequent visitors to this area for the last few years and after staying at their sister resorts being The Royal Tenerife Country Club and The Santa Barbara a few times we decided to try this place as it is located right at top of the square where everything is like the shops, restuarants and bars its also very near the sea where there is a coastal path that takes you to The Marina one way or if you fancy a longer walk along the front the walk to nearby Los Abrigo's is nice which has some lovely fish restaurants there amongst others plus stunning views!
The resort itself is very welcoming with nice friendly staff. Must give Amed in reception a mention he was quite accommodating giving us lots of valuble information which included telling us about the steak night on our arrival at their on site restaurant which we took advantage of as we didn't arrive until late afternoon.
Our room was on the second floor facing the pool and reception area with quite a large balcony which we took advantage of as it was south facing.
The apartment had everything that we needed including a full kitchen area with dishwasher and fridge freezer.
All in all this resort is ideal if you don't want to venture too far as everything is on the doorstep. A taxi to Los Christiono's is approx 40 euro's return or there are lots of bus's that go there for around 2 euro's.

The whole experience at Sunset View is built around a relaxing, quiet place with all amenities close by. The staff are excellent, the rooms clean and well equipped. The site itself is very well maintained with a good pool area and plenty of sun-beds. We spent Christmas and the New Year here, which we enjoyed very much not least because of the friendly and welcoming atmosphere created by all the staff, the restaurant staff and the other guests, many of whom are clearly frequent visitors. The restaurant is well worth a visit and is open to both residents and non residents, the food is excellent, good value and the staff outstanding, of particular note was the great News Eve Dinner party supported by some brilliant entertainers. Overall highly recommended.

We have stayed at a Diamond Resort property before, in Lanzarote and remember the site being very well presented and looked after. This encouraged us to book Sunset View and we were not disappointed.

The location is good, with very easy access to restaurants, shops and supermarket. The lovely promenade is about 300 metres away.

Arrived before 2pm checked in but was told the apartment wasn't ready so went for a coffee over the road from the apartment. We didn't see anyone go into the apartment but on our return an hour later was told it was ready..
Apartment was one bedroom with plenty of room for 2 and the tv had British channels.
It seems all the apartments face the sun coming on the balcony at 10 to 11 oclock until sunset.

It was disappointing that even though you had free wifi you had to pay for towels, not a deposit but payment. It wasn't much but seemed penny pinching.

The pool area was fine but people still reserved beds then didn't turn up until later in the day. It's was pretty quiet until the Thursday before the half term when children started to arrive. Now i don't mind them playing but screaming all day isn't on & in fact one guest got up and shouted at them for an hours peace and quiet. It seems some parents don't care.on the friday the same family were around the pool at 9 am kids screaming ruining the other guest peace and quiet. Bear in mind the pool didn't open until 10am but no one came and told them at the time.

Check out is at 10am ( 12 oclock in most other places) so I asked if we could stay a little longer as we were moving to another resort. I was told i could BUT it was 10 euros an hour. I said i rather spend the money over the road in the centre.

The apartments are in a good position but its the little extras that make a place special not charging clients to make more money.

When I booked the Sunset View Club, I didn’t pick up that is was part of the ‘Diamond Resorts’ chain. I also didn’t pick up on the check in and check out times, more fool me. We had visited a Diamond Resort approximately 6 years ago and said never again. We arrived at the Sunset View Club after emailing them to say we would be early and could we please leave our cases and they got back saying no problem. We found the Reception staff at Sunset View Club, unlike some other reviewers have said, unfriendly, unhelpful and one of them was condescending, bordering on rude when he ‘phoned us. We sat around the bars in the area for approximately 5 hours waiting for our room, only to be informed that our room wouldn’t be available that day so they were transferring us to the ‘Santa Barbara Golf and Ocean Club’ and guess what, that is exactly the place we had visited twice previously and said never again! We had to get taxis to our previously arranged restaurant reservations near the Sunset View Club. Check out at both of these resorts is 10am so: Check in 4pm and Check out 10am - hardly client friendly. If arriving in Tenerife late and departing on a fairly early flight those times may not be a problem however, arriving on a cruise ship and the only flight back to London Heathrow being approximately 6pm at night, hanging around both ends of our visit to Tenerife was a pain in there a…! We found no flexibility with the Santa Barbara staff extending our room check out even though we were willing to pay extra, it was a simple case of ‘Computer says No’ as, according to the Receptionist, an instruction by Housekeeping! Even a one hour extension giving them 5 hours to arrange to clean the room would have been helpful. The apartment we were given for the two nights (42 hours) was pleasant enough with sea views but I was placed in a resort and area I didn’t want to be. In short, this re-emphasised our dislike of Diamond Resorts and in future, I will be far more careful when checking times for room access and exit. Be warned if you are expecting normal check in times of 2pm and check out at midday. Four hours difference may not seem a lot but on the inconvenience front it is not something I anticipated or appreciated when on vacation.

Stayed in a private appt at Sunset View. Staff were wonderful, so helpful during my stay which was cut short due to coronavirus. They were under no obligation to print my boarding pass etc when I had to rebook my flight home. They also arranged taxi to airport and even one of the gardeners helped me to take suitcases from appt to get taxi at reception. All of this was greatly appreciated as an elderly lady travelling solo. Have always enjoyed my stays at this resort and hope to do so again when normal life resumes. Had lovely meal in restaurant and after lockdown came into force they still managed to serve takeaway food until 6pm every day. They also offered a supermarket service. Well Done to you all. Photo from when my son and daughter in law came to visit before lockdown.💖

Great little place ! Excellent stay.

Background…..I have previously done lots of business travel and expensive hotels so my standards and expectations are generally quite high.

Very well looked after and very clean. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment and it was very well equipped and looked like newly renovated. Everything was nice thought out. Air conditioning in both bedroom and lounge was very good and we often had to turn it off as was so good. We had a walk in shower instead of a bath. Balcony had a nice table and sea view and was lovely and peaceful.

Check in and out was very good and we were well looked after by Hamid who was very friendly and professional.

We had cooker, microwave, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and coffee maker. We also had a washing machine although don’t think all of them have this, which proved useful as we were travelling light and had already stayed a couple of nights in Santa Cruz. They even leave tea, coffee, powdered milk etc ready for arrival. They have a separate filtered water drinking tap so no need to buy in bottled water.

Safe was free and easily fitted my 13 inch laptop in. Wi-Fi nice and fast although I understand limited to 4 devices which was enough for us.

The pool and whole complex was lovely and quiet and peaceful. There was enough sun beds for the occasions when we wanted to sunbath.

The area nearby is quiet but there are enough restaurants, bars and shops in walking distance. There is a very good supermarket just across the road.

Buses were generally every hour to los cristianos and only 5 minute walk to the bus stop.

Looking forward to coming back in a few months time.

Located across the road from the small selection of shops and bars in San Blas.
Helpful staff throughout the stay.
Apartment was comfortable (if a bit small for 4).

Negatives
Pool area is very small.
There is no bar/resteruant or any form of Refeshments/entertainment on around the pool area at anytime. Any drinks or snacks had to be brought from the room or you visited the shops.
It made the day hard for a family with young children (age 8&12) as you feel that any noise is frowned upon (that did not happen but the silence was deafening)
Life guards do not allow any form of "pool toy" even small balls!
Pool and jacuzzi were far too cold. I lasted a max 1 minute although it was January!

The most disappointing information is that there was no courtesy room avaiable for late checkouts and if we left cases they were left next to the wall in reception (not locked away).

As a diamond member I expected at minimal my cases to be securely locked away.

I have to say this was one of the best places I've stayed in. The hotel staff made me feel very welcome and went above and beyond to check I was happy during my stay. I was impressed how environmentally aware the hotel is. The apartment had free filtered tap water, recycled kitchen roll, facial tissues, washing up liquid, a tea towel - all the things I normally have to buy. There was also a free safe, free air con and a fully equipped kitchen, I mean it had everything. The apartment itself was beautiful, very clean and spacious. They had big fluffy pillows (not the usual long thin type), a comfy bed and it was extremely quiet making for a good nights sleep. The complex is so pretty, they even have a free herb garden that you can use - I could go on and on! I would highly recommend staying here if you want a peaceful, relaxing and comfortable stay.

Great location, price and facilities. Room was adjacent to San Blas Shopping mall and great convenience for supermarket, bars and restaurants. (Indian, Chinese, English, Italian, plus others). Right beside beautiful coastal walk and about 1k fro golf course and driving range. Once you close the door at night you hear nothing. Accommodation was great, Aircon, 2 x TVs, full kitchen plus utensils etc, USB sockets and great walk in shower. Our room had one bed, plus sofa bed and garden with great ocean views and comfortable lounging furniture with great cushions. Staff are great and very friendly. Wife was given a bottle of Champagne for her birthday, which was a lovely touch.

They told me when I stayed that its expected to be re opened in February when the old lease runs out as they already have someone lined up to take over in the new year. Personally I did find it an inconvenience to have to walk over to get a drink /snacks etc but I know a lot of people have long term stays so they probably wouldn't use it as much as they could just nip back to the apartment. I'm just used to more family friendly facilities.
