The complex has 10 spacious apartments facing South-East with the sun on the terrace from the early hours till the afternoon, a sun-deck with sunbeds and swimming pool and wonderful sea and mountain views, a garden and modern barbecue area in the shadow of our old palm trees rescued from a previous existence, a reception and a gym exclusively for our guests. All our apartments have a modern design and a fresh feel, they consist of a living room with a large, folding glass door to the private terrace, an open-plan kitchen, a comfortable sofa, television, internet and air-conditioning, a bathroom with shower, an air-conditioned bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe and desk. Each apartment has a spacious private terrace with a gorgeous sea view and the best sun-conditions in the area.

We arrived to find everything as described at this peaceful and beautifully appointed location. Apartment has cooking facilities and there are lovely restaurants down the stairs, around 5 minutes away- ( 5 minutes down, 10 minutes up! ). There is a fridge in the apartment and plenty of cupboard space for storage of drinks and food. Air conditioning is very good. Cutlery, pots pans, etc all provided. Main Puerto Rico bars and restaurants around 20 minutes walk or 5-6 euros in a taxi. Washing machines and dryers available free to use. Towels provided for beach and for shower. Cleaning personnel reliable, friendly and discreet. Apartments are all pretty modern, clean and the pool is clean, cold and safe. WiFi very good. Reception lady Sashy very, very helpful contacting our transportation. We needed help with one or two issues of our own making ( we locked ourselves out of the apartment one night!), and we were very grateful for the help we received. Gym is small and functional, clean and open all hours. A fantastic stay and will definitely be returning. Thank you so much for a fantastic fortnight.

We have just come back from a week's stay at these apartments . We booked a one bed apartment room no 203. We have really enjoyed our stay from start to finish . We especially chose this as was adult only apartments. Great contact from the hosts prior to check in and super easy instuctions on how to check in as reception not always manned . Lovely modern apartment with everything you need in it , plenty for what we needed but we didn't cook in the apartment at all as it was our choice to always eat out and support local businesses. The Pool area was lovely, very clean, plenty of sunbeds although as always a few reserved stupidly early morning with no need to, but thats not an issue with the hosts thats the guests that were super possessive as to what beds they wanted . Sun nearly all of the day there until about 430 pm at least. The pool and surrounding apartment areas were cleaned twice in the time we were there. Not noisy at all so quiet and thats what we enjoyed ! . The only thing to note is of you have mobility issues it's quite a walk up and down a lot of steps but can always take a taxi for about 4 euros. we knew about the steps beforehand so were fine with it as we are an active couple too. The apartments have a beautiful view over the harbour. Some restaurants and supermarket not far away at all. The apartmentd also have laundry facilities which we used for free. We would most definitely book in here again when we come to puerto rico in the future . Thank you calypso for a lovely stay :)

Stayed for a month in apartment 202. If you stay 28 days plus you won’t get a clean or bed change. I really liked this concept, you had no one encroaching into your space. There are two washers and dryers for your use for free. We had nice long sun lounger towels for our use. Every third day I’d sweep through and wash our towels with any other washing we had. We’d definitely stay here again. Not too many steps down to the restaurant, 180 ish so we’d get a taxi home. We felt we didn’t need to go into the heart of Puerto Rico preferring this quieter area. All restaurants are fab and dirty nellys pub sold Guinness so hubby happy.

We arrived on 16th December, this is one of three hotels in the group. Its in a superb quiet location but an easy walk to the beach & centre of Puerto Rico (10 minutes - there are a few steps but a taxi is only €3.50/€4.00). The accommodation was up to date and clean and had everything you need for an enjoyable stay if you needed anything Steven, Matthew and Chiara were only a call or email away and they also popped in daily. The cleaning staff were lovely and helpful also. The hotel has 12 self contained apartments (adults only) a lovely pool and sun loungers etc. It got the sun from just after 9am right through to around 5pm (we were there Dec & Jan) and has amazing sea and marine views. There us an onsite gym and laundry room with two washing machines & two tumble driers. We hired a TV box so we got the UK channels (it also picks up other European channels). Whilst we were there we had issues with our flights hone due to covid-19 in the UK and the Calypso team were extremely helpful in arranging an additional two week stay and also arranging covid-19 tests for our return to the UK. We'd highly recommend this hotel it felt like you were in your own 'villa' the other guests were lovely and we made great friendships whilst we were there. Well done to Steven, Matthew and the team for a great stay we will be back 👍❤

We have just returned from a fabulous stay in the calypso apartmemts as a group of 14 of family and friends celebrating special birthdays which we thought would never happen under the current circumstances, when we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by the manager Steve. The apartments are beautiful, spotless and modern and have everything you need to accommodate your stay along with a lovely pool and picturesque views. We would like to say a Massive thank you to Steve and the calypso we will definitely be returning back to this little gem.

This was my third stay in these apartments, they really are perfect for my needs. The check in process is simple and stress free. The rooms are a good size and well equipped. The shower is good and the bed comfortable. The air conditioning is really good too. Downstairs the laundry room is really useful and free to use. We loved the pool area. As it is a small hotel, there is a very nice atmosphere amongst the guests and we’ve made some really good new friends here. It is adults only, so very peaceful and calm. The staff are very welcoming and quickly come to sort any issues if they arise. (The reception isn’t manned 24 hours, but the staff are always contactable if you need them.) I will definitely return to this little gem of a hotel. The lovely views and relaxing environment are both very good for the soul!

The studio apartment was very modern and clean. And the shower was great. The kitchen had everything you could need for a weeks stay. The swimming pool is small but perfect if you just want a brief refreshing dunk. The bed was a little hard for my tastes but that’s obviously a personal preference. I think it’s worth noting that in the studio apartment there is no door to the shower area so if you’re planning on sharing this apartment with a friend then that’s a consideration. I liked the location but if you want to be in the thick of it re the main shopping area and beach then this possibly isn’t the place for you. I really liked the nearby restaurants though. They were all divine.

We arrived at calypso early December for a 5 week holiday. We were upgraded to the top floor the next day and the apartments are beautiful. Lovely and clean views are amazing. Mathew and Stephen the owners are really helpful and friendly. Chiara the receptionist also very helpful, she printed some things out for us and even arranged a Covid test for us to return back to England. The cleaners work exceptionally hard too. It’s about a 30 Minute walk down to the main part where all the bars and resteraunts are but it’s a nice walk past the marina and the beach. When we arrived a lot was closed due to Covid which was very sad but more did open up later on. Our flight home got cancelled but we were able to stay on at the apartments without a problem for another week until we could arrange another flight back. We will certainly be back to this gem of a place next year. Well done guys keep up the good work you’ve got a lovely team working for you. See you next year ☺️

We stayed at Calypso over New Year, our first visit. We were informed our room was ready earlier than we originally thought and met the cleaner upon arrival who gave us a warm welcome. Our room was like a small flat. We stayed in room 201 which was down the left hand side as you face the hotel, out of the way. It felt like our very own exclusive area. We had all the amenities we needed for some self catering. Bathroom was great with a good power shower. No issues with hot water.
Pool was small but enough for the amount of people staying. We never not had a lounger during our 5 day visit.
Great location with a 10 minute walk down the steps to the Dino supermarket, restaurants and pubs. We had some great meals out in those restaurants. The beach is a further 10 minute walk with more restaurants, pubs/bars.
We met Stephen as he helped us with recommendations for New Year and was very friendly and helpful.
Overall, we absolutely loved Calypso. Such a gorgeous well looked after boutique hotel. We are already looking to come back again for New Year with friends.

You easy find same standars of hotels in Puerto Rico. Save your money and get the same standard in another hotel. We have beeing guest her in Puerto Rico in over 17 yerars. This time during Christmas and New Year 2019-2020 the manager could not even say hello and Happy New Year to us.

They are all private. In the pool apartments you are on the same level as the pool so you might feel that people can see in, although they can’t in practice. The bedroom is completely private in all apartments anyway. Hope that helps.
There are more places to choose from in the Puerto Rico area.
